If an Apple Invites invitation seems not to send—or a guest says it never arrived—copy the event’s current invitation link and send it again through a messaging app. Ask the guest to open that link in a browser: guests can RSVP on the web without an Apple device, Apple Account, or Apple Invites app. First, make sure the event was created in Apple Invites, not Apple Calendar; the two services use different invitation systems.
First, check whether the event is in Apple Invites or Apple Calendar
Apple Invites sends an event invitation as a shareable link. Apple Calendar sends calendar event invitations, whose delivery and receiving options depend on the calendar account and server. If you are unsure which one you used, open the app or service where you created the event before troubleshooting.

Fix an Apple Invites link that is not reaching a guest
Apple describes sharing an invitation link, but its published materials do not provide a fault-specific delivery diagnostic. The checks below follow that documented link-sharing flow; trying another messaging channel or browser is a practical way to narrow down the problem, not a guaranteed Apple fix.

Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →- Open the intended event. Sign in to the Apple account you used to create it and check that the event appears in Apple Invites. If you are hosting, Apple says iCloud+ subscribers have full access to Invites; its launch announcement says subscribers can create invitations and anyone can RSVP. Apple Invites FAQ · Apple’s launch announcement
- Copy the link from the event again. Share that current link with the guest through a messaging platform. This is Apple’s stated sharing method. If the first message seems to have failed, try a different messaging channel as a diagnostic.
- Have the guest open the link in a browser. Ask them to use the newly copied link on their device. Apple says guests can RSVP on the web without an Apple device, app, Apple Account, or iCloud+ subscription; the web experience includes Android. Apple Invites FAQ
- Check whether the host can use the app. Apple says the iPhone app is available on iPhone models running iOS 18 or later. If the host is on an older iOS version or cannot use the app, Apple also offers a web experience. Feature availability may vary by region. Apple Invites FAQ
- Escalate with specific details if it still fails. If you cannot access or share the event, or a freshly copied link fails for several guests, contact Apple Support with the exact error and the host’s iPhone/iOS version or browser and device details for the affected guests.
Check the guest limit and access requirements
- Apple’s current FAQ says up to 100 guests can participate in one event. This is a product limit, not a delivery-reliability figure. Apple Invites FAQ
- Apple says hosts need iCloud+ for full access to Invites and its launch announcement specifies that iCloud+ subscribers can create invitations. Guests do not need iCloud+ to RSVP.
- The iPhone app requires an iPhone model running iOS 18 or later, according to Apple. The web service is available on all devices, including Android, though some features vary by region.
If the event is in Apple Calendar instead
Do not apply Apple Calendar’s invitation settings to Apple Invites. For a Calendar event, check that the relevant calendar account is enabled. Calendar invitation support varies by account and server. For iCloud Calendar specifically, Apple provides settings for the sending address and whether incoming invitations arrive as notifications or email.

What Apple’s published guidance does—and does not—establish
Apple’s Invites FAQ and launch announcement explain link sharing, guest access, and host eligibility. They do not identify email spam filtering, delivery delays, service outages, app reinstalls, or mail settings as established causes or fixes for a missing Apple Invites invitation. Avoid changing unrelated settings based on a guess; start with the event’s current link and the guest’s browser access.
