What item does Isla want?
Isla is looking for a Snowdeer Bone—the answer to the hounds’ “perfect treat” question. The intended sequence is to obtain the bone from a Snowdeer and bring it back to her. The VGC guide by Dave Aubrey, dated 8 October 2026, describes this item and hand-in sequence; an iTechGuides page published the following day reports the same solution and identifies VGC as its source.

Where to find a Snowdeer Bone
Snowdeer inhabit the Norgan region. A suggested place to begin searching is north of the Norgandian Settlement, along the path beside the river’s south edge. That is a starting route, not a guaranteed spawn location: Snowdeer may be encountered elsewhere in Norgan.

- Travel to Norgan and search for a Snowdeer. If you need a starting point, head north from the Norgandian Settlement and follow the path by the river’s south edge.
- Defeat the Snowdeer.
- Examine its corpse and loot the Snowdeer Bone. Defeating the animal alone is not the whole retrieval step; you need to inspect the body for the item.
How to complete A Direwolf Delicacy
Once you have the Snowdeer Bone, return to Isla and give it to her. That is the documented completion sequence. If the quest has not progressed, check whether you actually collected the bone from the corpse and whether you handed that item to Isla, rather than merely returning after the fight.

What to do if you offered the wrong item
If you have not identified the requested treat yet, Isla gives a hint after each incorrect offering. VGC reports that wrong offerings carry no consequence, so you can use those responses to narrow down what the hounds want. Once you have the Snowdeer Bone, offer that item to Isla.
If you gave Isla the bone but the quest is still stuck
The available quest guides establish the intended item and hand-in, but they do not document a confirmed bug, platform-specific cause, or verified fix for a quest that remains incomplete after the correct bone is handed over. They do not establish that reloading, repeating the hand-in, or changing a setting will resolve it, so those should not be treated as proven solutions.

If the objective remains unchanged, the useful details for diagnosing the case are your platform, the exact objective text shown in the journal, and whether the Snowdeer Bone was actually handed to Isla. Those details can distinguish an incomplete collection or hand-in from a persistent post-handoff problem, but the published guides do not identify them as confirmed causes.
