First determine whether your problem is a missing campaign save, a PC “Save Failed” message, or New Game+ missing after a playthrough: they have different causes. New Game+ arrived in Update 1.3.0 on October 1, 2026, and requires completing the entire campaign on the platform where you want to start it. Campaign saves do not transfer through IOI Account cross-progression.
Identify what is missing
Before changing accounts or trying fixes, note the exact symptom, platform and storefront. A campaign save, online progression and New Game+ unlock are not interchangeable:

- Campaign save missing: Check whether you are playing on the same platform and local save environment where the campaign was played.
- “Save Failed” on PC: This is a known autosave issue listed by IO Interactive Player Support.
- New Game+ missing: Check that Update 1.3.0 is installed and that the entire campaign has been completed on that platform.
- TacSim or other online progress missing: This is online progression, which has different cross-progression rules from campaign saves.
How to unlock New Game+
- Install Update 1.3.0. New Game+ was introduced in this update, released October 1, 2026. Confirm your platform has downloaded and installed the update.
- Complete the entire campaign on the platform where you want to play New Game+. IO Interactive’s patch notes say a completed playthrough of the entire campaign is necessary. TacSim progress or a campaign completed on another platform does not satisfy this stated requirement.
- Return to the game’s mode or campaign selection and check for New Game+. If the update is installed and the full campaign is complete on that platform but the option is still absent, contact IOI Player Support with your platform, storefront and completion details.
Why a campaign save may not appear on another platform
Linking platforms through an IOI Account does not move campaign saves or campaign progress. Cross-progression covers specified online progress, including TacSim XP, Clearance level, inventory and challenge progress; it is not a way to continue a campaign save on another platform. IOI also warns that changing the primary progression profile can invalidate the local save on the platform being switched from. Avoid changing the primary profile while investigating a missing campaign save. If you expected a campaign to carry over, check the original platform and local save rather than assuming the linked account contains a transferable campaign file.

What to do about PC “Save Failed”
IO Interactive Player Support’s Known Issues page, last updated September 17, 2026, lists a PC autosave problem that can prevent progress from saving and, in some cases, prevent the game from starting. The page records “Workaround: None at this time.” That is the official status as of that update; it does not establish a recovery procedure.
Contact IOI support and include your PC storefront, the exact error text, when it appears, and whether the game can start. Do not delete or replace save files or use third-party repair software on the assumption that IOI recommends those steps; the cited support status does not provide such a fix.

Save-related fixes included in Update 1.3.0
Update 1.3.0 lists fixes for particular save-slot problems, including an issue that could leave a slot partially unusable after exiting to the main menu, plus issues after reloading, resuming or selecting Retry. The update reports more than 700 fixes and improvements overall, but those listed changes do not mean every save issue is resolved. If your symptom matches one of those situations and persists on the update, give support the exact sequence that caused it.

What to include in a support request
- Your platform and storefront.
- The exact error message, if any, and whether it prevents the game from starting.
- Whether the problem concerns a campaign save, online progression or New Game+.
- For New Game+, confirmation that Update 1.3.0 is installed and the campaign was completed on that same platform.
- When the issue happens—for example, after reloading, resuming, selecting Retry or returning to the menu.
