To find sponsors for your live stream, make your channel easy to evaluate, identify brands that genuinely fit your audience, and pitch a specific promotion with clear deliverables. On Twitch, start with your Creator Profile and Sponsorships dashboard; on YouTube, combine direct outreach with Creator Partnerships if your channel is eligible. Neither route guarantees a deal: you still need to show what your audience watches, explain the fit, agree on terms, and disclose sponsored content clearly.
How do I get sponsors for my stream?
Think of sponsorship as a match between a brand, your audience, and a promotion that makes sense in the stream. A large follower count by itself does not explain that match. Be ready to describe your channel, who watches, what your viewers care about, and how you could introduce the brand without disrupting the content.
There is no universal follower or viewer threshold that guarantees sponsorship readiness. The official platform guidance below does not set one, either. Focus on relevant audience evidence and a proposal the brand can assess.

- Describe your stream’s niche and the community it serves.
- List product categories your viewers might reasonably use or value.
- Explain why a particular brand belongs in your stream, rather than relying on reach alone.
- Suggest an integration that suits the format: for example, a clearly disclosed product demonstration, a sponsored segment, or a link the audience can consult.
This is a practical way to make a brand’s evaluation easier, not a guarantee of improved results.

Twitch says Creator Profiles help brands and agencies discover creators. Fill yours out with accurate information about your channel, interests, and sponsorship preferences, and keep it current. Twitch’s August 20, 2026 announcement says Affiliates must complete Creator Sponsorship Certification to be eligible for sponsorship opportunities on Twitch. That requirement concerns Twitch’s opportunities; it is not a universal prerequisite for negotiating directly with a brand elsewhere. Check your certification status and the criteria attached to any particular campaign. Twitch’s announcement also says brands can invite Affiliates globally to their first sponsorship on Twitch, subject to certification and campaign criteria.
YouTube: prepare for outreach and check Creator Partnerships
YouTube recommends contacting brands directly, using public contact forms, finding relevant marketing directors on LinkedIn, or reaching out to brands on X. Check whether your channel is eligible for YouTube Creator Partnerships, and consider turning on channel insights sharing so brands can assess your channel for campaigns. What should I put in a streamer media kit?
A media kit is a concise, dated snapshot that lets a potential sponsor understand your channel and evaluate a proposed collaboration. YouTube recommends describing your channel and audience, explaining why you want to partner, sharing performance and demographic information, and suggesting collaboration ideas.
- Channel identity: a short description of the stream, its niche, and what viewers can expect.
- Audience: relevant audience characteristics and demographic information available to you.
- Performance: metrics such as active subscribers, views, unique viewers, watch time, and typical retention, where available.
- Examples: links to relevant streams or clips that show your style and production.
- Possible integrations: one or two formats that fit the channel and the brand.
- Contact: a reliable way to reach you or your representative.
Date the figures and state the period they cover; do not present a temporary spike as your normal performance. Share data you can substantiate, and avoid inventing typical rates or audience thresholds. YouTube’s guidance on media kits and channel metrics is at Tips for getting brand deals.

Where can I find brands to sponsor my livestream?
Use more than one route. Platform discovery may surface a suitable campaign, while direct outreach lets you choose brands and explain the fit yourself.

Twitch’s February 25, 2025 announcement said it had collaborated with more than 70 brands in its beta program at that time. That is a historical beta figure, not a current count of active sponsors or campaigns, and it does not mean every creator will receive an offer. How to pitch a sponsor
- Choose a relevant brand. Identify a product or service that fits your channel and audience. Use the brand’s public contact form or an appropriate marketing contact where available.
- Make the opening specific. Name the product or campaign idea and say why it makes sense for your viewers.
- Propose the integration. Describe one or two stream-specific options, such as a sponsored segment or product demonstration, and how you would present them.
- State the deliverables. Clarify what the brand would receive, such as a segment, stream mention, or agreed links, and share relevant clips and your media kit.
- Ask what success means. Find out what the brand wants the campaign to achieve and how it will assess the work.
- Agree on terms before accepting. Put scope, dates, usage rights, exclusivity, payment timing, reporting, and cancellation terms in writing.
Keep the pitch concise and tailored; a generic request that says only that you want a sponsor gives the brand little basis to judge the fit.

Disclose sponsorship clearly and use the platform’s branded-content tools where applicable. YouTube defines branded content to include livestreams when a brand influences content in exchange for value, including payment, a free product, or sponsorship. YouTube instructs creators to declare branded content in Studio and says the creator remains responsible for clear and prominent disclosure. Read YouTube’s Branded Content Policies.

Twitch’s branded-content guidance describes a disclosure tool in the Creator Dashboard and says creators and brands are responsible for understanding applicable legal requirements. See Twitch’s Branded Content Guidelines. Platform tools do not necessarily satisfy every legal obligation: requirements can vary by location, content category, and audience.
