Open Google Maps and search for gas stations. To narrow the results, search for a specific station brand or add a place name. Google’s Android search guidance supports category searches such as “gas stations”; its price guidance also says to search for “gas stations” or a specific brand. Google’s Android search instructions and Google’s fuel-price guidance describe these options.

Select a station from the map or results to open its place details. Look in the station’s Business Profile for fuel prices. Google says prices appear in the profile; it does not say every map pin will carry a price label.

Check that the displayed price is for the fuel type you need before comparing stations. The reviewed Google guidance does not establish that labels always match your preferred grade or document a universal sort-by-price feature.

Find fuel while navigating
Google Maps on Android
While navigating, search along your route for gas stations. Google’s Android navigation instructions cover searching for places during a trip.
Google Maps with CarPlay
Add a stop in Google Maps on CarPlay, then inspect the stop details; those details can include gas prices. Google’s CarPlay instructions list iPhone 5 or later, iOS 12 or later, Google Maps 5.24 or later, and a CarPlay-supported car as requirements. Product documentation can change, so check the current help page if setup details matter.

Why a station’s price may be missing
Google’s guidance does not promise prices for every station listing or every fuel grade. A missing price is not proof that the station has no fuel, and it does not necessarily mean your search failed. The reviewed help pages also do not establish geographic coverage, a price-update interval, or a freshness guarantee; treat a displayed figure as information to check, not a promise that it will still be current when you arrive.

What to do if a price is wrong
Google Maps Help directs users to contact OPIS about incorrect gas prices. Its guidance does not promise a correction or describe a user option to add a price manually from the Business Profile. See Google’s instructions for gas-price errors.

Open the station listing before driving and check its details. Google does not document a universal price-sorting feature or guarantee how recently a displayed price was updated.
