To get Morkvarg’s meat in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, defeat him in Freya’s Garden during the Skellige quest “In Wolf’s Clothing,” then loot Werewolf Meat from his body. Return for another encounter, weaken him until you can speak with him, and choose the option to feed him the meat.
Where to find Morkvarg’s meat
The item is called Werewolf Meat. It is quest loot from Morkvarg himself—not an item to buy or find elsewhere. The quest walkthroughs from Witcher.tools and GameBanshee both place it in the “In Wolf’s Clothing” quest in Freya’s Garden, Skellige.

- Fight Morkvarg in Freya’s Garden and defeat him.
- Loot his remains and take the Werewolf Meat.
- Return to Morkvarg for another encounter. Weaken him until dialogue becomes available.
- Choose the dialogue option to feed him the meat.
If you have not defeated and looted him yet, the meat will not be available. The walkthroughs describe Morkvarg returning after a defeat, which lets you come back and use the item.
What happens when you feed him his own meat?
Feeding Morkvarg the Werewolf Meat kills him while he is still in werewolf form. The walkthrough explanation is that the curse cannot turn his own flesh to ash. This is one of the quest’s documented resolutions, rather than a way to lift the curse.

How this differs from the cursed-fang route
The alternative resolution uses a cursed fang connected to Einar’s story. It lifts the curse and changes Morkvarg back into a man instead of killing him as a werewolf. The walkthrough sources describe these as distinct ways to resolve the quest; they do not establish a general reward comparison that applies across quest states or game versions.
