You can invite someone using a Samsung phone to a FaceTime call by sending them a FaceTime link. They open it in a supported browser, enter a name, and request to join; you admit them from your iPhone. The Samsung user joins through the browser, not through a FaceTime app for Android.
Create and send a FaceTime link from your iPhone

Open the FaceTime app.

Tap New Call, then tap Create Link.

Choose a way to share the link, such as Messages or Mail, and send it to the person using the Samsung phone. Apple says the recipient can use the link to join or start the call. See Apple’s iPhone User Guide instructions for creating a FaceTime link.

Join the call on a Samsung phone

Connect to the internet, preferably with a strong Wi-Fi or mobile connection, and use the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

Open the FaceTime link in the browser.

Enter a name and tap Continue.

If asked, allow the browser to use the microphone and camera.

Tap Join. The iPhone host must admit you before you enter the call. Tap Leave when you are finished.
Apple’s instructions for joining a FaceTime call from Android or Windows describe this browser-based process. Apple’s iPhone User Guide says non-Apple users can join one-to-one and Group FaceTime calls in a WebRTC-capable browser without logging in; sending video requires H.264 video encoding support.

What works in FaceTime on the web
Browser participants can use several FaceTime controls, including microphone and camera toggles, switching camera views, and full-screen mode where available. In group calls, grid layout is also available. SharePlay and screen sharing are not available to participants using FaceTime on the web.
If the Samsung user cannot join

Check the link: Make sure they opened the FaceTime link you sent, rather than a different message or call invitation.

Check the browser and connection: Apple recommends the latest Chrome or Edge and a strong internet connection.

Check permissions: If the browser asks, allow microphone and camera access. Without those permissions, the participant may not be able to use audio or video as intended.

Check admission: After the Samsung user taps Join, the iPhone host still needs to let them into the call.

Apple’s published guidance does not give Samsung model-specific troubleshooting or promise identical behavior across every Android device and browser version.

Availability caveat
Apple says FaceTime links are unsupported in mainland China. Apple separately notes that creating a FaceTime link is unsupported on iPhone models purchased in mainland China. These are distinct limitations: one concerns joining from the region, and the other concerns creating the link on the iPhone.
