To save a scheduled ChangeTower change report, open the delivered report in ChangeTower and download its PDF. To export a page’s history for a particular date, open that page’s snapshot list, filter by date, open the snapshot, and choose an available export format. These are separate workflows: one saves a digest across monitors; the other preserves dated evidence for an individual page.
Choose the report you need
| Your goal | ChangeTower workflow | Documented output | Availability or limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Save a recurring summary covering selected monitors and a reporting period | Scheduled report delivery | Scheduled reports are listed for Business and Enterprise plans. | |
| Save what one monitored page showed on a date, or preserve a history span | Snapshot history or archive | FAQ workflow: PDF or spreadsheet. Archive feature: PDF or image. | Available history depends on the account’s retention period and starts when monitoring begins. |
ChangeTower documents different export formats in different workflows; do not assume that every export screen offers the same menu. See its scheduled reports, FAQ, and screenshots and archiving pages.

Download a scheduled change report as a PDF
A scheduled report is a period-based digest across the monitors you select. ChangeTower says each delivery covers the period since the previous report and can be downloaded from within the product.
- Create or open a scheduled report and select the monitors it should cover.
- Choose a delivery cadence: daily, selected days of the week, or monthly, and set the delivery time.
- Select the workspace members who should receive the report by email.
- When a delivery is available, open it in ChangeTower and use the PDF download option.
The report includes an AI-written executive summary, changes grouped by monitor, and totals for changes, monitors with changes, and all monitors. The report page keeps delivery history with its period, status, and notification count. Scheduled reports are listed as available on Business and Enterprise plans; check the current plan details in ChangeTower before relying on availability.

Export a page snapshot or date-filtered history
Use snapshot history when you need a record for one monitored page rather than a multi-monitor digest.
- Open the relevant page’s snapshot list.
- Filter the list to the dates you need.
- Open the required date or snapshot.
- Choose the export option shown for that workflow. ChangeTower’s FAQ describes PDF or spreadsheet reports from the snapshot list. Its archive feature describes exporting an individual snapshot or a span of history to PDF or image.
ChangeTower stores snapshots on each check, whether or not the page changed. Its record begins with the first check after monitoring starts; it cannot supply a back catalogue of page states from before then. The Time Traveler feature announcement also describes keeping website archives at points in time.

Check how much history is still available
ChangeTower’s FAQ lists plan-dependent snapshot retention: 30 days on Free and Lite, 60 days on Essential, six months on Business, and a period configured to the customer’s records policy on Enterprise. These are product terms that may change; verify the current plan terms or account interface before depending on a particular retention period.

What to do if the export you need is missing
- You need a report for a period, but only see page snapshots: use scheduled reports for a digest across selected monitors. Snapshot history is for a page and date.
- The date is outside the available history: check your plan’s retention period. ChangeTower says it has no page-state archive from before monitoring began.
- You expected a particular file format: verify which workflow you are using. The FAQ describes PDF or spreadsheet for its snapshot-list export; the archive feature describes PDF or image for snapshots or a history span; scheduled deliveries download as PDF.
- You are looking for downloaded website screenshots rather than report exports: ChangeTower’s Getting Started help collection lists a separate article, “How can I download screenshots for my website URLs?” Start at the Getting Started help collection; the detailed steps are not established here.
Or skip the browser setup
If you need to capture a page yourself rather than export a saved ChangeTower report, ScreenshotNeo can return a screenshot or PDF with one GET request. It is a website screenshot API and MCP server for developers. Its cookie-consent handling accepts banners like a visitor and removes known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture. Bot checks, blank pages, failed loads, timeouts, and cache hits are not billed, and responses identify the page verdict and billing status. AI agents can use its MCP server tools, including take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf.
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://changetower.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for parameters and setup. One thousand screenshots per month are free with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. This captures the current page; it does not retrieve ChangeTower’s historical snapshots or scheduled report delivery. Sign up for ScreenshotNeo’s free plan.
