Equip Lady Liberty from the Fortnite lobby
The outfit is applied through the Locker, not from the Item Shop preview screen. Follow these steps:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Launch Fortnite and stay in the lobby.
- Open the Locker tab at the top of the main screen.
- Open Character. If your version shows an additional subsection, choose Outfits.
- Highlight and select Lady Liberty.
- Press Back to confirm the selection and return to your loadout.
Epic’s support guidance says that “Your avatar will reflect the same cosmetics you selected in the lobby.” In practice, that means the outfit you see selected in the Locker is the appearance used when you enter a match.

- Choose SAVE AND EXIT to apply the change.
The official Lady Liberty listing identifies the outfit and its Purge Drone back bling, but it does not enumerate named Lady Liberty style variants. Therefore, do not expect a particular color, mask, model, or other alternate appearance unless your current Locker actually displays it. If there is no EDIT STYLE command, the current build is not exposing an outfit-level style selector for Lady Liberty.
Customize the loadout when no style selector appears
An outfit’s visual style and the other cosmetic slots are separate decisions. Even when Lady Liberty has no visible style control, you can build a matching loadout by changing each slot in the Locker:

Troubleshoot missing Lady Liberty or missing controls
Lady Liberty does not appear in the Locker
- Confirm that the account owns the outfit; an Item Shop preview does not add an item to the Locker.
- Open the Character category and then Outfits when that subsection is available. Looking in a different cosmetic category will not display outfits.
- Return to the lobby and reopen the Locker if the selection screen did not refresh after a purchase.
There is no EDIT STYLE button
Use the three-dot options menu to check whether the command is located there. If neither location contains EDIT STYLE, the official listing does not provide evidence of selectable Lady Liberty variants in that build. Continue customizing through the independent back bling, pickaxe, emote, and wrap slots instead of expecting an undocumented color or model change.
The chosen appearance does not show in a match
- Reopen the Locker and verify that Lady Liberty is the currently selected outfit rather than only highlighted in a preview.
- Press Back after making the selection so the loadout is applied.
- Check each additional slot separately. A back bling, pickaxe, emote, or wrap must be equipped in its own slot; selecting Lady Liberty does not automatically equip every matching cosmetic unless the loadout already contains them.
Other ways to change an outfit
Fortnite’s developer documentation describes an outfit as the character’s overall appearance. Outfits can be changed from the Locker in the lobby and, when available in the relevant experience, through a Changing Booth. The Changing Booth does not create extra Lady Liberty styles; it is another place to select an outfit that the account already owns.
Quick Recap
Quick checklist
- Open Fortnite and remain in the lobby.
- Go to Locker > Character > Outfits.
- Select Lady Liberty and press Back.
- Check EDIT STYLE or the three-dot menu; save any displayed option with SAVE AND EXIT.
- If no style control appears, customize the separate cosmetic slots instead.
- Before purchasing, compare the 1,500-V-Buck outfit listing with the 2,000-V-Buck discounted bundle and verify the live shop deadline.
