Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →OpenClaw can help edit WordPress posts when you connect it to a compatible WordPress integration or skill. The available WordPress API Pro option is a community ClawHub skill—not a built-in OpenClaw feature—so inspect its source and permissions before installing it. For a safer workflow, retrieve content first, make changes in draft, review them in WordPress, and publish only after explicit approval.
What you need before connecting OpenClaw to WordPress
Plan on an OpenClaw installation, a WordPress site, a compatible integration, and credentials for a WordPress user allowed to perform the requested actions. OpenClaw’s plugin documentation describes how its tools and skills extend an agent. It does not establish a built-in WordPress integration.

The WordPress API Pro listing on ClawHub describes a community skill for working with WordPress content. Treat it as third-party code: check its source, version, and requested permissions before enabling it. OpenClaw’s plugin guidance recommends reviewing trust details and treating installations like code; pinned versions can make production use more reproducible.

Choose an integration path
| Path | What it offers | What to consider |
|---|---|---|
| Community WordPress skill | The ClawHub listing describes operations for posts, pages, media, selected SEO metadata and custom fields, plus some WooCommerce data. | Capabilities depend on the skill, site configuration, installed plugins, exposed API support, and user permissions. Inspect the skill before installing. |
| Custom or direct REST API integration | Can use WordPress REST API endpoints, including the posts API, for operations the integration implements and the account is permitted to perform. | You must configure and maintain the integration, authentication, and any plugin-specific support it needs. |
The available sources do not establish a quantitative winner between these approaches. Whichever you choose, design writes to remain drafts until a person approves them.

Install and verify the skill
If you choose the community skill, its listing gives this install command:
openclaw skills install @benkalsky/wordpress-api-pro
Review the listing and the code or source it identifies before installing. Then inspect OpenClaw’s runtime to confirm that the skill is loaded and available to the agent. An installation success message alone does not prove that the active Gateway is using the expected integration; OpenClaw’s plugin guide recommends runtime inspection and verifying capabilities with a real tool or hook call.

Create limited WordPress API credentials
- Create a dedicated user. In WordPress, add a user whose role grants only the capabilities needed for the editing tasks. Avoid using an administrator account by default.
- Generate an Application Password. WordPress documents this option at
wp-admin → Users → Edit User. Application Passwords have shipped with WordPress since version 5.6 and are intended for remote REST requests over HTTPS using Basic Authentication. See the WordPress REST API authentication handbook, last updated June 4, 2025. - Configure the integration’s secrets securely. The ClawHub skill describes
WP_URL,WP_USERNAME, andWP_APP_PASSWORDfor its scripts. Keep production credentials out of source control; store them in a protected local environment or an appropriate secrets manager. - Use HTTPS and test access. Confirm that the site URL and credentials work for the intended user before asking the agent to change content. WordPress distinguishes remote Application Password authentication from cookie authentication, which is for requests made within WordPress by a logged-in user with the relevant capability. Avoid a generic Basic Authentication plugin that uses the account’s main password; WordPress describes that approach as suitable for development or testing, with Application Passwords preferred.
Use OpenClaw to draft an edit
Start with a read-only request so the agent retrieves the right post before proposing changes. Give it the target site and post identifier, describe the intended edit, and specify which fields it may change. For example, you might permit edits to the title, body, and excerpt while excluding categories, tags, metadata, and media.
The WordPress posts API supports retrieving, creating, and updating post records. Its fields include title, content, excerpt, status, categories, tags, and featured media. The API reference documents collection retrieval at GET /wp/v2/posts and filters such as search, status, date, author, category, and tag. See the WordPress posts REST API reference.

- Reliable storage for photos, videos, music and other files
- Available in capacities from 8GB to 256GB (1GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes - Actual user storage less)
- Transfer with confidence when moving images and other content
- Retractable design keeps the connector safe
- SanDisk SecureAcces software with 128-bit AES encryption and password protection(1)
Ask OpenClaw to create or update the post as a draft, not as a published item. WordPress post statuses include draft, pending, publish, future, and private. A clear request should identify the intended status and keep changes within the fields you approved.
Review before anything goes live
Open the resulting draft in WordPress and check the rendered page, not just the agent’s response. Confirm the correct post and inspect the title, formatting, links, images, excerpt, metadata, and any other changed fields.

- Verify the target site and post ID before allowing a write.
- Compare the edited content with the requested scope; check for unintended field changes.
- Review links, formatting, and media in the WordPress editor or preview.
- For batch edits, use a dry run and review the proposed changes before executing them.
- Give explicit approval before a live update or publication.
The approval and dry-run safeguards are recommendations from the community skill’s publisher, not guarantees of WordPress core or OpenClaw. The listing says live writes should require approval for the target site, post or product IDs, and final action. Do not assume that an integration’s safeguards replace your own review.
Verify the saved result
After an approved change, retrieve the post again through the integration or inspect it in WordPress. Check that the intended fields and status were saved. The posts endpoint supports collection retrieval and filters, while the community skill provides list and get examples. If the status or content differs from the approved draft, stop and correct it in WordPress before publishing.
Know what the integration may not support
The community skill listing also advertises operations involving Elementor content, SEO metadata, ACF, and JetEngine. Those claims describe the integration, not a guarantee that every WordPress site exposes those fields in the same way. A plugin’s presence, REST API exposure, configuration, and the user’s permissions can all affect what the agent can read or change. Confirm a capability on your own site before relying on it.
An API connection can retrieve and modify supported fields; it does not establish that an edit is accurate, editorially sound, optimized for search, or safe to publish. Keep human review in the workflow.
