Download AION 2 for PC through either the publisher’s PURPLE launcher or Steam. With PURPLE, install the launcher, open its Store, select AION 2, and start the game installation from the game lobby. Before downloading, check that your PC meets the requirements and has 100 GB of free storage; an SSD is recommended, not required.
Choose an official PC download route
AION 2 is described by its official community as a PC-only game. The two official PC routes are the publisher’s PURPLE launcher and Steam. Availability can vary by region, so check the current listing in your country before installing.

- Steam: an official platform for the global PC version. Search for AION 2 in Steam and confirm the listing is available in your region.
Install AION 2 through PURPLE
- Open the official AION 2 download page and download PURPLE PC.
- Run the downloaded installer and complete the prompts to install PURPLE.
- Launch PURPLE and open STORE.
- Select AION 2 from the Store.
- In the AION 2 lobby, select the game-install control and follow the prompts.
The official instructions do not give a universal download time; completion depends on your connection and other conditions. Allow the installer to finish, and use PURPLE’s displayed status if you need to check progress.

- Open Steam and search for AION 2, or visit the AION 2 Steam listing.
- Check that the listing is available for your region and that it is the official game listing.
- Use the install control in the Steam client and follow its prompts.
Steam may ask you to confirm your age before showing the store page. The Steam listing has its own system-requirements details; compare them with your PC and the current listing for your chosen route.

Check your PC’s requirements and storage
The current AION 2 PURPLE requirements page lists the following minimum and recommended specifications. These are the publisher’s listed requirements, not a guarantee of a particular frame rate or graphics setting.

Leave 100 GB free for the game. The official requirements recommend an SSD but do not make one mandatory. Steam’s listing uses somewhat different CPU and graphics wording: it lists Ryzen 5 2600 or Core i5-10500 and GTX 1050 Ti as minimums. Check the requirements shown by the store you plan to use rather than treating the two pages as identical.

Check whether your account can play yet
Access timing depends on the launch window. As of October 3, 2026, Founder’s Pack holders had advanced access, while the official global announcement scheduled the general launch for October 5, 2026. The same announcement said Founder’s Pack availability would end October 5 at 8:00 AM PDT / 17:00 CEST. These are dated global schedule details, not evergreen availability information; check the current official regional store and announcements before purchasing or troubleshooting access.

If the download or launch does not proceed
- The game is not listed: check the official PURPLE or Steam listing for your region; storefront access is not established as universal.
- Installation cannot continue: check that 100 GB is available and that your Windows version and PC components meet the chosen store’s listed requirements.
- You installed the game but cannot enter: check whether your account is eligible for the current access window and review the latest official announcement.
