Choose the right AVG Ultimate subscription first
“AVG Ultimate” can refer to different subscription variants, and the apps available depend on the plan and platform. Before downloading, check the subscription name in your AVG Account and confirm that it covers the device you want to set up.

AVG’s official Windows installation-files page provides a recommended online installer and paid-version offline installers in .exe format for 64-bit and 32-bit Windows. Select the current installer that matches your Windows architecture. If you are unsure whether your system is 32-bit or 64-bit, check Windows’ About or System information before choosing an offline installer.

You can also install from the account associated with the purchase: sign in to AVG Account, open Manage subscriptions, select the relevant subscription, choose Download, and select a valid device. AVG’s installation instructions then direct users to choose the purchased product and platform and follow the on-screen steps.
Install AVG Ultimate on Mac
Use the AVG Account linked to your subscription or AVG’s product-specific installation instructions to select the Mac product covered by your plan. The Multi-Device bundle’s Mac apps differ from its Windows apps, so select the Mac version rather than downloading a Windows .exe installer. AVG’s general install and activate instructions cover choosing the product and platform.

Install AVG on Android: use Google Play, not an unverified APK
AVG’s official Android product page and installation instructions point users to Google Play. Open the AVG app listing in Google Play and install it there, then sign in or activate the subscription as applicable. AVG’s Ultimate Windows installer page lists .exe files, while the reviewed official Android pages do not establish a direct official APK download. That does not prove AVG never offers a separate APK channel; it means a direct official APK source is not confirmed here. Do not treat third-party APK mirrors as AVG’s official download route. Install AVG on iPhone or iPad
For iOS, use AVG Account or AVG’s app-specific installation instructions to select the product covered by the subscription. The Multi-Device bundle lists Secure VPN and Mobile Security for iOS. AVG Mobile Security Ultimate is a separate App Store subscription that adds VPN to the iOS app; it is not included in AVG’s Ultimate bundles. The reviewed AVG pages do not provide one universal installer for every platform, so use the route for your account and app.

Check current system requirements before installing
AVG’s current support requirements article lists Android 10.0/API 29 or higher for the current Android AntiVirus family and iOS 17.0 or higher for current iOS Mobile Security apps. It lists Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, and Windows 7 SP1, with specified editions excluded for some current Windows security apps. Included apps can have different requirements, so verify the specific app rather than assuming one requirement covers the whole bundle. Check AVG’s system requirements article before installation.
AVG’s Ultimate marketing page displays older minimums of Android 8.0 and iOS 14.0. Because those figures differ from the current support requirements for the apps, use the app-specific support requirements for installation decisions. Requirements and supported versions can change; the official pages reviewed do not show publication dates.

Activate the subscription after installation
Activation may use an AVG Account or an activation code, depending on the app and how the subscription was purchased. For an online purchase, AVG says the code may appear in the confirmation email or AVG Account. A retail purchase may include a printed activation card. Follow AVG’s install and activation instructions for the selected product.

Uninstalling an AVG app does not automatically cancel the subscription. If you want to stop renewal, use AVG’s separate subscription cancellation instructions.
