AION 2 launched globally on PC on October 5, 2026. NC America lists Steam and PURPLE as the global PC platforms. Check your PC against the published requirements, then install through either platform.
Choose where to download AION 2 on PC
NC America announced global PC availability through Steam and PURPLE. Choose the platform available in your region and whose client and account flow you prefer. The announcement confirms both platforms, but does not settle every region-specific account or setup detail.

An SSD is recommended, not listed as mandatory. Make sure the destination drive has 100 GB free before starting. NCSOFT Taiwan says initial installation needs approximately 70 GB or more, but that regional figure is not a guarantee of the complete or lasting install footprint; use the global support listing’s 100 GB available-storage requirement when planning space.

Install AION 2 through Steam
- Open Steam and search its store for AION 2.
- Open the AION 2 listing and choose its install control.
- Select an install location with at least 100 GB available, then follow Steam’s prompts to download and install the game.
- When installation finishes, launch AION 2 from Steam and follow the prompts shown for your region.
Install AION 2 through PURPLE
The steps below follow NCSOFT Taiwan’s PURPLE walkthrough. The page is Taiwan-region guidance; global screens, region availability, and account requirements may differ.
- Download and install the PURPLE PC app for Windows from the official regional page.
- Open PURPLE, go to Store, and select AION 2.
- In the AION 2 lobby, select Install Game.
- Choose a drive with enough free space and complete the prompts shown by the client.
If installation or sign-in does not match these steps
Regional availability and account flows may vary, particularly in PURPLE. Use the official AION 2 Global Support site for current global guidance rather than changing region settings or assuming an account requirement based on a Taiwan walkthrough. The global announcement establishes Steam and PURPLE availability; it does not confirm Linux or Steam Deck support, controller support, or identical regional setup flows.
