Keep a LEGO Zelda display out of direct sunlight and away from high heat; use an enclosed case if you want to limit dust. For LEGO The Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 (set 77092), measure your assembled build and base before choosing a case: the two configurations differ in height, and LEGO’s published dimensions do not give a complete case-fit footprint.
Choose a spot away from sun and heat
LEGO advises against storing bricks in direct sunlight or where temperatures exceed 104°F (40°C), warning that bricks may become brittle or discolored over time. The company also identifies direct sunlight, cigarette smoke and extreme temperature variations as factors that can gradually affect a build’s colors. Apply that guidance to a completed display by choosing a dry location away from sunny windows, heaters and other heat sources; it does not establish a specific lifespan or guarantee how much fading a particular placement will prevent. LEGO’s sorting and storage guidance explains the temperature and sunlight cautions, and its brick-cleaning guidance also cautions against direct-sun drying.

Measure the Great Deku Tree before buying a case
Set 77092 is a 2,500-piece adult display model with two build options: Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild. LEGO’s US product page lists the Ocarina of Time version at over 33 cm (13 in.) tall and the Breath of the Wild version at over 31 cm (12 in.) tall. Those are height figures, not full case dimensions. Measure the finished configuration, including its base and any parts that extend outward, then compare those measurements with the case’s usable interior dimensions. LEGO’s official set page provides the cited configuration heights.
Use a case to reduce dust, with realistic expectations
A specialist retailer lists an acrylic display case made for set 77092 and describes it as “UV Protected & Dust Proof.” Those are the seller’s claims: no independent UV-transmission test or quantified dust-control rating is established here. Before buying, check the current product specification and confirm the fit, material, access for cleaning or repositioning, and stability. A case can make routine dusting less frequent, but its protection should not be treated as a verified UV rating or an absolute seal. Clean the assembled set gently
LEGO recommends hand cleaning with water no hotter than 104°F (40°C) and a soft cloth or sponge. Mild detergent may be used, followed by a clear-water rinse. For a built display, avoid soaking the structure: gently wipe accessible surfaces and keep liquid away from areas that are difficult to dry. LEGO warns against machine washing and dishwashing, and against drying bricks in an oven, microwave, with a hair dryer, or in direct sunlight. If you take the model apart or need to organize extra elements, LEGO lists clear storage bins and plastic drawer systems among common options for storing bricks. These are useful for loose pieces, not a substitute for a display case around the assembled tree. LEGO’s sorting and storage guidance discusses those storage options.
