To show posts on a separate WordPress page without code, add a Query Loop block, set its query to Custom, choose how many posts to display, and remove Pagination if you want one continuous page. For the site’s standard blog listing, change the posts-per-page setting under Reading instead. Developers can use WP_Query with posts_per_page => -1.
Choose the right way to list posts
Start by deciding whether you want to change the site’s standard blog listing or build a separate page with its own layout. WordPress offers a block-editor route for a custom page, Reading settings for the standard Posts page, and a PHP query for developers.

Show posts on a separate page with Query Loop
The Query Loop block is the most flexible no-code choice for a page you design yourself. Its Post Template defines the repeated appearance of each result, while the optional Pagination block lets visitors move between result pages. WordPress documents the block’s query controls and nested pagination at Query Loop block and Pagination block.

Choose a pattern or start with a blank layout.
- Set the query: Select the Query Loop itself and change Query type from Default to Custom. Default uses the query associated with the template in use; Custom exposes controls such as post type, ordering, sticky-post behavior, display options, and filters.
- Set how many results to show: Under Display options, choose an Items per Page value that covers the posts you want on this page. The editor also offers Offset and Max page to show. Do not assume the default is unlimited; choose a value based on the posts you intend to display and the controls available in your editor.
- Design each result: Customize the nested Post Template. Add or remove blocks for titles, excerpts, dates, featured images, authors, categories, tags, or other details. Enable link settings on titles and images if visitors should be able to open the posts.
- Choose whether visitors can page through results: Remove the nested Pagination block for one continuous result page. Leave it in place if visitors should navigate separate sets of results.
- Preview the page: Check the published page to confirm the chosen item count includes the intended posts and that the layout works on your site.
Some controls may be unavailable depending on the theme or your permissions. If post type, filters, or query settings are missing, check that Query type is set to Custom; the available options can still vary. WordPress’s Query Loop documentation describes these controls and variations.

Change the standard blog listing in Reading settings
If you want to change the site’s normal blog listing rather than create a separate layout, open Settings → Reading in the WordPress dashboard. The “Blog pages show at most” setting controls how many posts appear per page, and the Posts page selector assigns a page as the site’s posts listing. See WordPress’s Reading Settings documentation.
There is an important template distinction: when a page is selected as the Posts page, its assigned page template is ignored. The theme’s index.php or home.php, if present, determines how the posts are displayed. Use a Query Loop when you need an independently designed page instead.

The Reading screen’s full-text-or-excerpt choice applies to feed articles; it does not configure the page layout. For page content or excerpts, set up the relevant blocks in the Query Loop’s Post Template.

In this mode, offset is ignored. For custom post types, WordPress’s post-type guidance describes custom queries and recommends registering post types in a plugin or must-use plugin so their definition remains available if the theme changes.
Should every post be on one page?
A single long list can be harder to scan than a paginated list, especially when it includes full post content or many items. The WordPress documentation describes Pagination as an optional Query Loop block; it does not prescribe a best page length or establish a measured performance effect. Choose a result count and layout that serve your readers, and keep Pagination when navigation between smaller sets is more useful than one continuous list.

What happened to the Posts List block?
Do not look for a separate current “Posts List” block. WordPress says that block variation was removed in WordPress 6.7 and directs users to Query Loop or Latest Posts instead. See the Posts List block documentation.
