In desktop Firefox, open Menu → Logins and Passwords (or Passwords), choose a login on the about:logins page, then click Remove. To clear every saved login, open the page’s three-dot menu and select Remove All Passwords. On Android, open Passwords in the menu or settings, select a login, then tap Delete or the trash icon. If Firefox Sync is enabled, deleting a login can remove it from your other synchronized Firefox devices too.
Delete one saved password in Firefox on desktop
- Click the Firefox menu button.
- Choose Logins and Passwords or Passwords to open the Password Manager at
about:logins. - Search by website or username, or select the login from the list.
- Click Remove. Confirm if Firefox asks you to.
This removes the saved login record from Firefox; it does not change the password on the website or delete your account. On Windows and macOS, Firefox may ask you to authenticate with your computer before you view, copy, or edit a stored login. That prompt is for your operating-system account, not your Mozilla account. Remove all saved passwords on desktop
- Open Logins and Passwords or Passwords from the Firefox menu.
- On the Passwords page, click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
- Choose Remove All Passwords and confirm if prompted.
This bulk action removes Firefox’s saved login records, not the corresponding accounts or passwords on websites. Mozilla documents the steps in its Password Manager help.

- Tap the three-dot menu. Depending on the version, open Passwords, or go to Settings → Passwords or Logins and passwords → Saved passwords (sometimes labeled Saved logins).
- Select the login you want to remove.
- Tap the login’s three-dot menu and choose Delete, or tap the trash icon.

What happens when Firefox Sync is enabled?
Sync makes saved logins available across connected Firefox devices. Mozilla’s Android instructions say that deleting a login while Sync is enabled deletes it across synchronized devices. Treat a deletion as a change to the synced set of logins, not just a cleanup on the screen where you performed it.
Signing out on one device is different. If you select Delete data from this device while signing out of your Mozilla account, Firefox removes synced local data from that device only. It does not erase the data from your other synchronized devices. Mozilla lists the local data that can be cleared—including logins and passwords, bookmarks, history, add-ons, cookies, and cache—in its sign-out and device-data instructions.

Stop Firefox from saving new passwords
Turning off password saving prevents future save prompts; it does not remove logins already stored in Firefox. Delete existing entries separately using the steps above.

On desktop
Open Settings → Privacy & Security, then find the Passwords or Passwords and autofill section and turn off Ask to save passwords. To stop prompts for a particular website without changing the setting for other sites, use the password exceptions control.

On Android
Open Settings → Passwords or Logins and passwords, then find Save logins and passwords and choose Never save. Labels can vary, so use the matching option in your version of Firefox. Mozilla documents these controls in its desktop and Android help.

Firefox can export saved login data to a CSV file, but Mozilla warns that the passwords in the file are readable and unencrypted. Anyone who can access the file can read the credentials. If you export before removing logins, do not upload, email, or share the CSV, and delete it when you no longer need it. See Mozilla’s export instructions and warning.
