To stop future suggestions, turn off the relevant Autofill control; that is separate from deleting information already saved. The steps below cover desktop browsers and Apple devices, with notes on synced and wallet-stored data.
Before you delete anything, identify the data type
Autofill is not one universal store. Browsers may keep contact details, addresses, payment methods, passwords, and other form entries in separate categories with separate controls. A setting that clears form data may leave passwords or wallet records untouched.

- Remove one saved item: Use the category’s manager, such as Manage addresses or a payment-method list.
- Clear a category in bulk: Use the browser’s clear-data controls and select only the intended category.
- Stop future filling: Turn off the matching save-and-fill or AutoFill setting. This does not necessarily delete existing records.
Menu names can vary by browser version, operating system, and region. If a label differs, search the browser’s current settings for “Autofill” or the category name.

Remove an individual address or payment method
Open Chrome’s Autofill settings and choose the relevant category to manage its saved entries. Use the address controls for an address and payment-method controls for a card. Passwords have a separate management route, so removing form entries is not the same as deleting saved passwords.

Clear Autofill form data in bulk
- In Chrome, open Delete browsing data.
- Choose the time range you want to clear.
- Open Advanced.
- Select Autofill form data, check that other selected categories are also ones you intend to remove, then confirm the deletion.
This clears Chrome’s Autofill form data for the selected time range. It does not delete addresses or payment information stored in Google Pay or Google Wallet. Google’s instructions for deleting browsing data distinguish those records from browser form data.
Delete saved addresses or cards in Mozilla Firefox
Remove a saved address
- Open Settings.
- Go to Privacy & Security, or the corresponding Passwords and autofill section in the current interface.
- Find Addresses and more, then choose Manage addresses.
- Select the entry you want to remove and use the available removal control.
The address area also has a save-and-fill toggle. Turning it off stops the feature from saving and filling addresses; use Manage addresses to remove an existing entry. Mozilla says address-autofill settings may not be available in every region and recommends enabling the feature only on private computers. See Mozilla’s address autofill instructions.

Remove or stop filling a payment card
- In Settings, find Payment methods under Privacy & Security or Passwords and autofill, depending on the interface.
- To stop future saving and filling, turn off the corresponding option.
- To remove a particular card, open the saved payment-method manager and remove that card.
Firefox can require operating-system authentication before payment details are filled or managed. Mozilla recommends using payment autofill on private computers only. See Mozilla’s payment autofill instructions.
Manage saved addresses and form data in Microsoft Edge
Remove a saved address
Open Settings > Passwords and autofill > Addresses and more, then manage the saved address entries there. Microsoft’s address and autofill instructions cover this category.

Clear Autofill form data
Edge’s clear-browsing-data controls treat Autofill form data as its own category, distinct from passwords. Select only the categories you mean to remove. Before clearing, check the scope choice: Edge offers options for data on the current device or across synced devices. Choose based on whether you want the deletion limited to this device or applied to synced devices as well. See Microsoft’s instructions for viewing and deleting browsing data.
Manage AutoFill on Safari for Mac
- Open Safari > Settings > AutoFill.
- Review the separate categories: information from Contacts, usernames and passwords, credit cards, and other forms.
- To stop a category from filling automatically, clear its checkbox.
- To review or remove saved entries, use that category’s Edit control where available. For Other forms, review the websites Safari saved information for and remove the relevant entry.
Safari gets contact details from Contacts. If a name, address, or phone number is wrong, correcting the relevant contact card may fix what Safari fills; deleting a Safari form entry is not a substitute for correcting that source. Apple documents these controls in Safari’s AutoFill settings guide.

Turn off or remove AutoFill on iPhone and iPad
Control contact and password AutoFill
On iPhone, contact information is controlled at Settings > Apps > Safari > AutoFill > Use Contact Info. Password AutoFill is separate: open Settings > General > AutoFill & Passwords. Apple documents corresponding contact and password controls on iPad as well. These controls govern whether the information is offered for filling; they are not a universal deletion switch for every saved record. See Apple’s AutoFill settings guidance for iPhone and iPad.

Remove an AutoFill payment card on iPad
- Open Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > AutoFill Cards.
- Authenticate when prompted.
- Select the card and tap Remove From AutoFill.
Removing a card from AutoFill does not remove it from Apple Pay. Apple says AutoFill cards are saved in iCloud Keychain and are available on other devices signed in to the same Apple Account, so consider that synced scope if you want the information gone across devices. Check where the information is stored
If a suggestion remains after you change a browser setting, it may come from a different category or service. Chrome’s bulk Autofill form-data deletion does not remove Google Pay or Google Wallet records. On Apple devices, an AutoFill card and an Apple Pay card are distinct. Sync also matters: Edge lets you choose whether clearing applies to the current device or synced devices, while Apple says AutoFill cards stored in iCloud Keychain are available on other devices using the same Apple Account.
When a specific item keeps appearing, return to the exact category that supplied it—address, payment method, password, contact card, or other form entry—and manage that record there. Avoid clearing all browsing data unless you intend to remove the other selected categories too.
