How do I change my Apple Music profile picture?
Profile settings are separate from playlist artwork. On iPhone, open the Music app, tap the account button or your profile picture, choose View Profile, then tap Edit. Apple describes this area as where you choose who can see your music and what you share with followers; the exact controls may vary by software version or account.

On Mac, open Music, click the account button at the lower left, then select View Profile and click Edit. You can change the displayed name or photo. Apple lets you choose a photo from Defaults, Recents, or another location. The profile editor also includes sharing controls. How do I change my Apple Music playlist cover?
You can use an Apple-provided template or add your own image. The editing flow differs slightly between iPhone and Mac.
On iPhone
- To make a new playlist, open Playlists and start a new playlist.
- Enter the playlist title, then use the camera control to take a photo, choose one from your photo library, or select a file on your device.
- To change an existing playlist’s cover, open the playlist, tap More, then tap Edit.
- Select an Apple template or use the camera control to add custom artwork, then save your changes.

On Mac
- Select the playlist in Music.
- Open Edit, or choose More and then Edit.
- Choose a preset cover or add an image file. You can also drag an image into the artwork area.
- Save the playlist changes.

Playlist visibility is independent of its cover image. In the playlist editor on iPhone or Mac, turn Show in My Profile and in Search on or off. This controls whether that playlist is displayed on your profile and appears in search; it does not change the artwork.

Which settings should you change?
- Change your name, profile photo, or follower-sharing choices in the account or profile view.
- Change a playlist cover in that playlist’s edit controls.
- Use Show in My Profile and in Search when you want to control playlist visibility separately from its cover.
