Floorp uses three different places for these changes: Firefox’s Customize Toolbar screen for moving toolbar buttons, Floorp Hub for the Panel Sidebar and broader interface options, and the gear menu on Floorp Start for new-tab content and backgrounds. Knowing which surface controls what avoids searching the wrong settings screen.
These steps follow Floorp 12 documentation. The official release listing identifies Floorp v12.19.0, dated September 30, 2026, as the latest release surfaced here; labels and layouts can change in later versions. See Floorp’s release listing.

Where did all the Floorp settings go?
Floorp-specific preferences are gathered in Floorp Hub. Open it by entering about:hub in the address bar, selecting Floorp Hub from the application menu, or opening it from Firefox Settings. Hub settings are arranged by feature, and the search field can help find a setting by name. For the changes in this guide, look under Tab & Appearance or Panel Sidebar. Floorp Hub documentation.
Not every browser control moved into the Hub. Toolbar button placement still uses Firefox’s desktop customization interface, while Floorp Start has its own page-level settings menu.

How to move or remove toolbar buttons
To rearrange controls such as buttons, open the application menu and choose More Tools > Customize Toolbar. Alternatively, right-click a blank area of the tab strip or toolbar and choose Customize Toolbar. This is Mozilla’s Firefox desktop flow, which Floorp uses for toolbar customization; Floorp’s upgrade FAQ also directs users to this interface for adding or removing the Floorp Profile Manager button. - Open More Tools > Customize Toolbar, or use the right-click option on a blank strip area.
- Drag controls to the toolbar to add or reposition them. Drag a button off the toolbar to remove it, or place it in or take it out of the overflow menu as needed.
- Click Done to apply the layout.
The customization screen also includes visibility controls for the title bar, menu bar, and bookmarks toolbar. If the Title Bar or Bookmarks Toolbar control is not shown, check whether the browser is in full-screen mode. Mozilla’s toolbar guide.

Changing the tab layout is a different setting
If you want to change the overall tab arrangement rather than move a button, open Floorp Hub > Tab & Appearance. Floorp documents horizontal, vertical, and multi-row tab options there. Floorp 12 uses Mozilla’s vertical tabs; Floorp’s earlier built-in vertical-tab implementation is no longer available, so instructions written for Floorp 11 may not match current controls. How to configure the Panel Sidebar
The Panel Sidebar is Floorp’s own sidebar, not Firefox’s native sidebar. Floorp Docs describes it as “a distinct feature entirely separate from Firefox’s native sidebar.” Open Floorp Hub > Panel Sidebar, or go directly to about:hub#/features/sidebar, for its configuration. Add or manage panels
- Open Floorp Hub > Panel Sidebar.
- Use the plus button below the Web Panel list to add a panel. A panel may be a website, an internal Floorp sidebar tool, or a page from an installed extension that supports sidebar use.
- Edit or delete entries in the Hub. For web panels, configure options including the URL, width, and zoom.
Available internal tools listed in the documentation include Browser Manager, Bookmarks, History, Downloads, and Notes. Not every extension page will work in a sidebar.
Change the sidebar position and width
By default, the Panel Sidebar appears on the right. Change Sidebar Position in its Hub settings to move it. A web panel width of 0 uses the shared Global Web Panel Width; web panels can also be set to float over the main page.

Do not mistake the Panel Sidebar for vertical tabs. Firefox vertical tabs occupy the same general area as Firefox’s native sidebar, while the Floorp Panel Sidebar is a separate feature. Panel Sidebar documentation and Floorp interface customization documentation.

Floorp Start is Floorp’s default new-tab page. Click the gear icon at the bottom-right of the page to open its settings panel. You can show or hide Top Sites, the clock, and the search bar; choose a legacy layout resembling Firefox Home; and set a background using a custom image, folder, Floorp artwork, random images, or no background. Control which Top Sites appear
Top Sites are drawn from frequently visited sites. From the page, add a site manually, pin it to keep it in place, or block a suggestion you do not want. Floorp’s June 2026 feature article notes that displayed sites can rotate automatically unless pinned. Floorp Start feature article.
Restore Firefox Home or use another new-tab site
To return to standard Firefox Home, turn off Floorp Start either from its gear menu or from Floorp Hub > Tab & Appearance, then restart Floorp. The Firefox Home settings panel becomes available again after Floorp Start is disabled. Floorp Start documentation.
Floorp does not provide a built-in setting to use an arbitrary website as the new-tab page. That requires a third-party extension such as New Tab Override; Floorp says it cannot support issues specific to third-party extensions. Floorp Start documentation.

Experimental layout options and version differences
Some Floorp positioning options, including bottom navigation-bar and bookmark-bar placement, are experimental and may cause visual glitches. They are separate from routine toolbar button rearrangement. Floorp interface customization documentation.
Version context matters when following older walkthroughs. The official listing shows v12.19.0 dated September 30, 2026, based on Firefox 157.0. The reviewed v12.18.1 notes, dated September 24, 2026, describe fixes for sidebar restoration and panel sizing and cite Firefox 156.0.1; those notes are for the preceding release, not the latest entry in the listing.
