What Absolum’s mobile controls officially support
The mobile release is designed to be played by touch. Google Play describes a “Revamped interface – exclusive mobile UI with complete touch control,” and the same listing says the game is “Compatible with controllers.” The Apple App Store listing also advertises “complete touch control” and specifically says “Compatible with MFi controllers.”

Those listings establish input support, not a particular customization workflow. They do not publish instructions for dragging virtual buttons, changing their size, changing opacity, assigning new actions, or saving multiple touch layouts. As a result, it is not possible to state that every mobile build has a touch-button remapping editor. The exact controls available to you are the ones exposed by your installed version.
Check the installed build before changing anything
- Launch Absolum and reach the main menu. Look for a gear icon, Settings, Options, Controls, Input, or a similarly named menu. Mobile labels can differ between releases and platforms.
- Inspect every control-related page. Look for terms such as Layout, Customize, Edit HUD, Button position, Button size, Opacity, or Reset. Do not assume that a general audio or graphics menu contains touch settings.
- Record the default arrangement. Take a screenshot or note where movement, attack, dodge, jump, and other actions appear. A record makes it easier to undo an experiment.
- Test in a low-risk encounter. Use the first safe area or an early fight rather than a difficult run. You need to learn whether an input change improves reach without creating accidental presses.
If none of the menus shows a layout or control editor, treat that absence as meaningful: the official mobile listings do not confirm that Absolum supports in-game virtual-button remapping, so do not keep searching for a hidden gesture or rely on an undocumented code.

How to evaluate the default touch layout
Before deciding that the controls need remapping, identify the problem precisely. Different problems call for different solutions, and changing one button can create another difficulty.
- Reach: a button may sit too far from the thumb you use for movement, especially on a large phone or when playing one-handed.
- Accidental presses: a thumb, palm, case edge, or screen protector may trigger an attack or dodge while you are trying to move.
- Simultaneous actions: you may lose access to movement while attacking, dodging, or activating another action because your fingers occupy the same area.
- Visibility: a translucent control can be difficult to see against a busy scene, although the official listings do not promise an opacity or size setting.
- Physical comfort: a control can be technically reachable but still force an awkward grip during a long session.
Play several short encounters and change only one variable at a time if the game offers an editor. Test movement, an attack, a defensive action, and any action that requires two fingers. If a change helps one situation but causes missed inputs elsewhere, restore the previous position rather than accumulating unrelated adjustments.
If the game shows a touch-layout editor
A visible editor is the only reliable indication that your current build supports direct virtual-HUD customization. Use the controls it actually exposes; do not infer features that are not shown.

- Open the in-game Settings or Controls page and select the layout or edit command.
- Move one button to a position that your normal playing hand can reach without covering the movement area.
- If size or transparency controls are present, make the smallest adjustment that solves the problem. Larger buttons can improve reach but also increase accidental taps.
- Save or apply the layout if the screen provides that command. Some interfaces apply changes immediately; others discard them when you leave.
- Return to a low-risk encounter and test the exact action you changed, then test an adjacent action to check for overlap.
- Repeat one control at a time. Keep a screenshot of a working arrangement before experimenting with the next button.
If the editor has a Reset, Default, or Restore layout command, use it when a change makes the controls worse. If there is no reset command, return each changed button to its original location using your screenshot or notes.
If no touch remapping option appears
Do not promise that Absolum’s virtual buttons can be moved when the installed build offers no editor. The official listings confirm touch play but do not provide a confirmed Absolum-specific procedure for remapping the touch HUD. In that situation, your practical alternatives are the default layout, accessibility features provided by the phone’s operating system, or a supported physical controller.
Operating-system accessibility settings can change how a device responds to touch, but they are not the same as assigning Absolum actions to new on-screen buttons. Check the game’s own menus first and verify any system setting in another app before using it during a run.

Use a physical controller instead
A controller avoids the fixed virtual-button positions and can make simultaneous movement and action inputs easier. Compatibility still depends on the phone, operating system, controller and game build.

- Pair a compatible Bluetooth controller with the Android device through the phone’s Bluetooth settings. Put the controller into pairing mode according to its own instructions.
- Launch Absolum after Android reports that the controller is connected. If the game was already open, close and reopen it so it can detect the new input device.
- Open the game’s Controls or Settings page, if present, and check which actions respond. The Google Play listing confirms controller compatibility but does not publish a universal button map.
- Test movement, attack, defensive actions and menu navigation in a safe area. If an action is missing, disconnect and reconnect the controller, then restart the game before assuming that remapping is available.
Android controller support is not a guarantee that every Bluetooth model works identically. A controller can pair with the phone yet fail to send an input format the game recognizes. Check the controller’s Android compatibility and charge level, remove competing Bluetooth input devices, and test again.
iPhone and iPad
- Connect a compatible MFi controller through Bluetooth or the connection method supported by that controller.
- Open Absolum and verify that movement and action inputs respond. The App Store listing confirms MFi-controller compatibility, but it does not publish a fixed mapping for every controller model.
- If you want to change physical-button assignments, leave the game and open Settings > General > Game Controller.
- On iOS or iPadOS 16 or later, select the connected controller and customize its buttons using Apple’s Game Controller settings.
- Return to Absolum and test the new assignments in a low-risk encounter. Apple’s remapping applies to the connected physical controller; it does not move or resize Absolum’s virtual touch buttons.
If the controller does not appear under Game Controller, confirm that the device is actually paired, update the phone or tablet if an update is available, and reconnect the controller. A controller that works in the operating system may still need the game to be restarted before Absolum recognizes it.

Confirm your device meets the published baseline
Input troubleshooting is unreliable if the device does not meet the game publisher’s published compatibility baseline. Playdigious lists the following requirements for the mobile release:
- Android: Android 9 or later and more than 3 GB of RAM. The compatibility information also excludes certain Android GPU families, so an Android version and RAM check alone is not sufficient.
- iPhone and iPad: iOS 16 or later and an A12-or-newer chip.
These are compatibility requirements, not a promise that every supported device will present identical touch spacing or controller behavior. If your device falls below the listed operating-system, memory, chip or GPU conditions, update or move to a supported device before diagnosing a control problem.

Troubleshoot common input problems
The buttons are hard to reach
First check whether the game offers a visible layout editor. If it does, move only the difficult button and test it in combat. If it does not, the official documentation does not establish a way to reposition it; a compatible controller is the dependable alternative.

Touches trigger the wrong action
Restore the default layout if you recently edited it, remove anything that overlaps the affected button, and test without a case or screen accessory that could be touching the display edge. If no layout editor exists, restart the game and retest the default controls before changing phone-wide touch settings.
The controller pairs but Absolum does not respond
- Confirm that the controller is shown as connected in Android Bluetooth settings or Apple’s Game Controller settings.
- Close Absolum completely and relaunch it after pairing.
- Disconnect other gamepads or input devices that could be receiving the controls.
- Check the controller’s battery and operating-system compatibility.
- Test the controller in another game. If it fails everywhere, the problem is probably the pairing, controller or device rather than Absolum’s layout.
Apple button changes did not move the touch buttons
This is expected. Settings > General > Game Controller changes assignments on a connected physical controller in iOS or iPadOS 16 and later. It does not edit Absolum’s virtual touch HUD. Touch-button changes must come from Absolum itself, and the official listings do not confirm that an editor is included.
Input feels inconsistent after an update
Recheck the current build’s Settings or Controls screen rather than relying on an older screenshot or remembered menu. Test the default layout, reconnect the controller if you use one, and verify that the device still meets the published requirements. A changed interface can expose different options without providing a documented remapping procedure.
A practical decision checklist
- Need to move or resize an on-screen button? Look for a clearly labeled Controls or layout editor in your installed build.
- No editor visible? Do not assume hidden touch remapping exists; keep the default layout or switch to a supported controller.
- Playing on Android? Use a compatible Bluetooth controller and relaunch the game after pairing.
- Playing on iPhone or iPad? Use an MFi-compatible controller; on iOS/iPadOS 16 or later, customize its physical buttons at Settings > General > Game Controller.
- Before troubleshooting, verify Android 9+, more than 3 GB of RAM and the GPU exclusions, or iOS 16+ with an A12-or-newer chip.

Absolum mobile is confirmed to support complete touch input, Android controller compatibility and MFi-controller compatibility on Apple devices. Apple independently confirms system-level customization for connected controllers on iOS and iPadOS 16 or later. No official listing supplied for the mobile game documents a procedure for moving, resizing or remapping the virtual touch buttons themselves. Therefore, the safest answer to “Can I move the buttons in Absolum mobile?” is: only if your released build visibly provides that editor; otherwise, use the default touch interface or a compatible physical controller.
