Create a Decoration Preset from Furniture > Presets, then share it to generate a code. To use another player’s code, choose Add new import preset and enter it. Shared codes are valid for 14 days, so check when a code was posted and ask its creator to reshare it if it has expired.
What Decoration Presets do
Decoration Presets save a selected, decorated section of your Valley so you can reuse the arrangement. The feature works alongside Group Mode and lets you remove, copy, or replace saved sections. Disney Dreamlight Valley’s official feature announcement describes presets as a way to save the items placed within a section.

How to create and share a preset
Complete Merlin’s Developed Decorating quest before using the Presets feature. Then follow these steps:
- Open the Furniture menu and select Presets.
- Select Add new, choose the items for the decorated section you want to save, and save the preset.
- Hover over the saved preset and select Share preset. The game generates a code you can give to other players.
This workflow and the menu labels are reported in Destructoid’s October 5, 2026 how-to. The available instructions do not confirm that wording is identical on every platform.

How to import a preset code
- Open Furniture, then Presets.
- Select Add new import preset, then choose Enter code.
- Type or paste the code and follow the in-game prompts to import the preset.
If your menus do not show these options, check that the game is updated and inspect the Presets page in the in-game Furniture menu. Platform-specific differences in the menu flow are not established.
Where to find codes posted by other players
Community posts are the practical places to look for shared designs. The how-to recommends the Starlight Dreamers Portal presets page and the Disney Dreamlight Valley Reddit community. These are community sources, not official code directories.

- Prefer recent posts: codes expire 14 days after they are shared.
- Check whether the creator is still reachable. If a code has expired, ask them to share the preset again.
How long do preset codes last?
Gameloft’s September 23, 2026 Season of Scares update notes state that shared Decoration Preset codes remain valid for 14 days. The notes say this period applies even if the creator edits or deletes the associated preset. An old code should therefore not be treated as a permanent link to the creator’s latest version.

What if the imported preset contains a missing item?
The official feature notes say a missing item can appear as a Mirage placeholder. Interact with the placeholder to buy or craft the item and place it. The notes do not establish that every missing item will be available to buy or craft.
