Create each event individually in YouTube Studio, then send the intended video feed to that event when it is time to go live.
What separate live events mean
A scheduled live event is an individual item in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, with its own event details and watch page. An always-on playlist is a continuous video feed; the reviewed YouTube guidance does not describe a feature that turns playlist items into separate scheduled events, watch pages, or reminder notifications automatically.

Plan for two distinct jobs: schedule each event in Studio, then use a streaming setup to supply the video feed for each event. Reusing settings can carry over configuration, but it is not a playlist-to-events automation feature.

Check your channel and choose a streaming method
YouTube lists webcam, encoder, mobile, and console as streaming methods. For an uploaded-video playlist, an encoder-based setup is the relevant route; YouTube describes encoders as useful for external audio/video equipment and advanced productions. Scheduling itself does not require buying a camera or dedicated hardware.

Your channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions during the previous 90 days. First-time live streaming enablement can take up to 24 hours, so enable it well ahead of the first scheduled event. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility and setup guidance and encoder setup instructions.
Schedule each event in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio and select Create > Go Live to enter Live Control Room.
- Select Manage > Schedule Stream.
- Choose Create new to make an event, or Reuse settings to carry forward configuration from a previous stream.
- Review and set the event’s title, description, visibility, and scheduled time. If you reused settings, check every field rather than assuming the copied details are still right.
- Save the event. Repeat these steps for every distinct event you want viewers to find separately.
YouTube says scheduled streams let you share an event URL and allow viewers to set reminders. Reusing settings is a time-saver for configuration, not a way to generate event pages from playlist items. Follow YouTube’s scheduled-stream instructions.

Connect the video feed and go live
- Open the scheduled event in Live Control Room and copy its YouTube stream URL and stream key.
- Enter the URL and key in the corresponding server and key fields of your encoder. Treat the stream key like a password: it authorizes the encoder to send a feed to your YouTube stream.
- At the scheduled time, start the encoder and wait for the preview to appear in Live Control Room.
- Check the preview, then select Go live for that scheduled event. Scheduling alone does not start the incoming feed or launch the event.
- When the event is over, end it in Studio and stop the encoder as appropriate.
For event-day reliability, YouTube recommends setting up at least two hours beforehand and starting the encoder at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time. Check that the event is accessible from channel and watch pages and on mobile, monitor audio and video, and test backup-encoder behavior if your setup relies on failover. See YouTube’s live-streaming troubleshooting guidance.
Plan event length and archives
YouTube Help says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That is not a promise that an indefinitely running feed will be archived as a standard event. If you need distinct event pages and archives for long programming, schedule separate sessions and verify current YouTube behavior for the duration you intend to run.

Common problems and fixes
- The channel cannot go live: verify the channel and check for live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. If live streaming was just enabled, allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- The scheduled page exists, but no video appears: confirm the encoder is running and that the stream URL and key were entered in the correct fields for that event.
- The feed arrives, but the event is not live: wait for the preview in Live Control Room, check it, and select Go live on the scheduled event.
- The wrong event details appear: edit the event and review title, description, visibility, and timing, particularly after using Reuse settings.
- The event is difficult to access or quality is uncertain: test in advance, verify access from channel and watch pages and a mobile device, and monitor the audio and video. If production depends on failover, test the backup encoder before relying on it.
- A very long event has no expected archive: YouTube’s cited automatic-archive guidance applies to streams under 12 hours; do not assume an always-on event will produce the same archive behavior.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is a continuous YouTube stream of uploaded videos rather than a separate Studio event for every session, StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded videos, so no computer or home connection has to stay on. Each slot streams the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it also includes automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo streams to YouTube only and does not create separate scheduled event pages for each playlist item. Start the free first day.
