You can run a 24/7 Marathi lofi stream on YouTube by preparing a rights-cleared playlist, creating a YouTube live event, and sending the audio and visuals through either OBS on a computer that stays on or a cloud playlist service. Check live access and music permissions before setup, then test the complete playlist and monitor YouTube’s stream health. Continuous streaming does not guarantee views or monetization.
Before you start: check channel access and permissions
Confirm YouTube live-stream access
Verify your channel and check that it has no live-stream restriction from the previous 90 days. YouTube requires live streamers to be at least 16. Encoder streaming is one of YouTube’s supported live options and suits a prepared music-and-visual program. YouTube’s documentation also lists a limit of 10 simultaneous active streams per channel and three per stream key; those limits are unlikely to affect a single lofi broadcast. Clear the rights to every asset
Use music and visuals you own or have permission to broadcast. Confirm that permissions cover public streaming, archiving, and the territories where you intend to reach viewers. Keep the relevant licenses or ownership records accessible.

YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. It may warn you, replace the picture with a placeholder, interrupt the stream, or terminate it if the identified material remains. If you have licensed music from another rights owner, ask them to add your channel to their Content ID allowlist; having a license alone may not prevent a live interruption. An archived stream may also receive a Content ID claim after the broadcast ends. See YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.

Choose how to keep the stream running

OBS is a practical do-it-yourself option, but there is no universal computer specification for a 24/7 stream. OBS says requirements vary by encoder, resolution, frame rate, and scene complexity, and that basic compatibility does not guarantee streaming capability. Its published requirements page is dated August 25, 2021; consult OBS’s requirements page for its current compatibility information.

Set up a 24/7 stream with OBS
1. Prepare and inspect the playlist
- Collect the Marathi lofi tracks and visuals you have permission to stream. Make a playlist in the intended order and keep backup media available.
- Check that each file plays with the expected sound and picture. Pay particular attention to changes in frame rate, codecs, or audio layout between files; these differences can become noticeable at transitions.
- Decide how the playlist will loop or move from one file to the next. Test a complete playlist pass before relying on it for continuous broadcasting.
2. Create the live event and protect the key
- Open YouTube Live Control Room and create or schedule a live event.
- Choose encoder streaming and connect OBS using the stream URL and private stream key shown by YouTube.
- Keep the stream key private. Do not publish it or send it in chat; anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your event.
3. Build the OBS scene and add media
- Create a scene for the broadcast and add a media source for your visual and audio content. Configure the source to loop if you are using a single file, or use your prepared playlist and transition method for multiple files.
- Check that the scene shows the intended artwork or video and that the audio meters respond during playback. A prerecorded music-and-art stream generally does not need a camera, microphone, preamp, or capture card.
- Connect OBS to the YouTube event using its stream settings. Keep the computer powered, OBS open, and local internet connection available for the length of the broadcast.
4. Configure a starting encoder profile
A vendor guide updated June 12, 2026, gives this starting profile for 1080p at 30 fps: 10 Mbps video, AAC stereo audio at 128 Kbps, constant bitrate, a two-second keyframe interval, progressive scan, and RTMPS when available. These are that guide’s dated summary of YouTube recommendations, not independently verified current official settings. Before a real broadcast, check YouTube’s current encoder recommendations and make sure your upload connection can sustain the chosen bitrate.

- Resolution and frame rate: Set output to the profile you intend to deliver; confirm that the source media and OBS output agree.
- Video bitrate and rate control: Use constant bitrate for the stated starting profile. Avoid choosing a bitrate your connection cannot sustain.
- Keyframes: Set a two-second interval for the cited starting profile, then check the current YouTube recommendations.
- Audio: The starting profile uses AAC stereo at 128 Kbps. Listen for clean audio and confirm YouTube receives it.
- Connection: Use RTMPS when available, as the guide recommends.
The guide is a commercial provider’s workflow article, so treat its settings as a starting point rather than a guarantee of current platform requirements.

5. Test before leaving it live
- Start the encoder and confirm in Live Control Room that YouTube receives both picture and sound at the expected resolution.
- Watch at least one full playlist cycle, including file transitions, and listen for gaps, silence, or unexpected changes.
- Check YouTube’s stream health and correct any warnings before depending on the broadcast.
- After changing files or settings, repeat the relevant checks. Keep backup media ready in case a source fails.

Troubleshoot common problems

What a 24/7 stream does—and does not—do
Continuous availability is a delivery setup, not a guarantee of discovery, viewers, or income. YouTube monetization eligibility and repetitive-content rules are not established here, so check YouTube’s current policies directly rather than relying on an assumed threshold. A successful technical loop does not itself establish that a channel qualifies for monetization.
