To copy an image address on a computer, right-click the image and choose Copy Image Address or the browser’s equivalent. On a phone, open the image’s share or menu controls and choose its copy-link option. The link may point to the image itself, a search-result share page, or the webpage around it, so use the route that matches what you need.
Copy an image address from a webpage on a computer
- Move the pointer over the image.
- Right-click the image, then choose Copy Image Address, Copy image link, or a similar command.
- Click where you want to use the address and paste it. You can also right-click the field and choose Paste.
The exact command depends on the browser and site. Imgur notes that desktop menu wording is determined by the browser (Imgur help). If the menu does not offer an image-specific option, try the site’s own share or copy-link control.

Copy a link from Google Images
On a computer
Open the image result. In the right-hand panel, select More > Share, then click the URL under Click to copy link. Google says this link begins with https://share.google/; it is the share link Google provides for that result, not necessarily a direct image-file address. (Google’s desktop instructions)
On Android
- Open Google Images in the Google app, Chrome, or Firefox, then tap an image result to enlarge it.
- In the Google app, tap More > Share > Copy. In Chrome, tap More > Share > Copy link. In Firefox, tap Share, then tap the URL under Tap to copy link.
- Tap and hold the destination text field and choose Paste.

On iPhone or iPad
- Open Google Images in the Google app, Chrome, or Safari, then tap an image result to enlarge it.
- In the Google app or Safari, tap More > Share > Copy. In Chrome, tap More > Share, then tap the URL under Tap to copy link.

Copy an image link from Imgur
- Desktop: Right-click the image and choose Copy image address.
- Mobile browser: Open the three-dot menu on the image or video itself and choose Copy link.
- Imgur app: Long-press the image and choose Copy link.

Image address or webpage address?
These are different links. An image address is associated with the image; a webpage address opens the page containing it. If you need the surrounding page, open it and copy the URL from the browser’s address bar. Google documents separate steps for sharing an image result and copying a page address (Google instructions). For an image-specific address exposed by a webpage, try the image’s context menu.

A copied link is not guaranteed to be a direct, permanent, or publicly accessible image-file URL. Some sites provide share links or restrict direct access; use the site’s own share control when the context-menu route does not work.

On a computer, Google’s Lens instructions say to right-click an image, choose Copy Image Address, open Search by image, and paste the link into Paste image link. Google lists Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge as supported common browsers for Lens visual search. (Google Lens help)

Fix common copy-and-paste problems
The menu has a different label or no image option
Look for Copy image address, Copy image link, or a share menu with a copy command. Menu labels vary by browser and site. If the site suppresses the browser option, try its own share or copy-link control.
The pasted link opens the page, not the image
You may have copied the webpage address rather than an image-specific link. Return to the image and use its context menu, or use Google Images’ image-specific share flow if the result is in Google Images.

Edge pastes a title instead of a URL
Microsoft Edge’s enhanced URL paste feature can paste a linked title by default. Use Ctrl+Shift+V to paste the web address as text, or change URL formatting in Settings > Appearance > Browser behavior and features. (Microsoft Edge help)
