To copy a Nimbus Screenshot capture, display the finished screenshot, right-click the image, choose Copy image, then paste it where you need it. Nimbus documents this browser context-menu workaround; it does not describe an automatic copy-to-clipboard setting for each capture.
Copy a Nimbus capture and paste it elsewhere
- Capture the content. Choose the Nimbus mode that fits: visible page, selected area, entire page, or another available capture mode.
- Bring the captured image into view. Nimbus describes an editor stage where you can edit the screenshot before finishing and saving it.
- Right-click the screenshot image. Choose Copy image from the browser context menu.
- Paste into the destination. Use the destination app’s normal paste command. The copied item is the image selected through the browser’s menu, not a separate automatic Nimbus clipboard action.
Why Nimbus uses the browser’s Copy image command
Nimbus’s help guidance says current versions of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox prevent apps from copying pictures directly to the clipboard, and recommends the browser’s native Copy image command as the workaround. Its Chrome FAQ repeats that instruction. Browser permissions and extension behavior can change, so treat this as Nimbus’s documented method rather than a guarantee that every installation behaves identically.

The Firefox add-on listing surfaced for this guidance reports version 15.6.9 and a last-updated date of July 31, 2020. That is historical listing information, not proof of the extension’s current Firefox release status.

If Copy image is unavailable
The documented workaround depends on the screenshot being displayed as an image that supports the browser’s Copy image menu command. If that command does not appear, Nimbus’s reviewed guidance does not specify another troubleshooting sequence. Confirm that you are right-clicking the displayed screenshot itself rather than the page behind it; avoid assuming that a particular shortcut or alternate menu item is supported by Nimbus.
