For the most reliable answer, open the official Call of Duty League schedule: it already displays times in the viewer’s local time and states, “All times are in your local time.” Manual conversion is only necessary when you copy a time from another listing. In that case, identify the listing’s source time zone, convert the match date and time to UTC, then convert UTC to your own IANA time zone while applying the daylight-saving offset for that date.
Start with the official CDL schedule
The official Call of Duty League schedule should be your first check whenever you want to know when a match starts. Its time display is localized to the person viewing the page, and the page explicitly says: “All times are in your local time.” That means a viewer in New York, London or another location should normally read the displayed clock time as their own local time rather than converting it again.

Do not treat a saved screenshot, an old search result or a copied social-media listing as more authoritative than the current schedule. Match pages and event stages are time-sensitive. Open the current schedule shortly before the match, confirm that your browser or device has the correct time zone, and read the displayed start time there.

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
The schedule exposes separate season and stage views. Select the season you actually intend to watch, then select the relevant stage. A 2026 match and a similarly named match in a 2027 season view are not interchangeable, and an old stage page can contain different slots from the current page.

When manual conversion is necessary
Manual conversion is useful when a third-party calendar, stream listing, team post or message gives a time without localizing it for you. The central difficulty is that a clock time is incomplete until you know its date and time zone. “7:00 PM” could refer to Eastern Time, Pacific Time, UTC, the venue’s local time or another convention.
Use this sequence for any externally listed time:
- Write down the complete event date and clock time. Include the calendar date shown by the source. Do not copy only “Saturday at 8.”
- Identify the source time zone. Look for a label such as UTC, GMT, ET, PT, Central European Time or a named city. If the listing does not state one, treat the time as unverified rather than assuming Eastern Time or the venue’s zone.
- Confirm the season and stage. Check whether the listing refers to the 2026 season, the 2027 season view or a particular Major, qualifier, playoffs or championship stage.
- Convert the source time to UTC. Apply the source location’s offset that was in effect on the match date.
- Convert UTC to your destination time zone. Use a named IANA zone, such as
America/New_YorkorEurope/London, and the offset in effect on that date. - Check the calendar date again. If the arithmetic crosses midnight, the match belongs to the previous or next local day.
- Recheck the official schedule shortly before viewing. A later schedule update can supersede a conversion made from an earlier listing.
Why UTC is the safest conversion point
UTC provides a neutral intermediate reference. Converting directly from one city’s clock to another can hide whether daylight saving is active, while the UTC step forces you to record both offsets explicitly.

The offset is not necessarily constant throughout the year. A location may use one offset during part of the year and another after a daylight-saving transition. The correct offset is the one in effect on the match date, not the offset you remember from a different month.

Use a full IANA time-zone name when a converter or calendar asks for a zone. America/New_York identifies the location and lets the software choose the applicable seasonal offset. Abbreviations such as “ET” can be ambiguous unless the date and the service’s rules are clear.

The examples below demonstrate the method with hypothetical listing times. They are not claims about a particular CDL match.
Example: a same-day conversion
Suppose an external listing says a match begins at 6:00 p.m. on July 18 in a source zone that is UTC−4. Add four hours to reach 10:00 p.m. UTC on July 18. If the viewer’s destination zone is UTC+1 on that date, add one hour: the local start is 11:00 p.m. on July 18.
The date remains July 18 because the final clock time has not passed midnight.
Example: crossing into the next day
Suppose a listing gives 11:30 p.m. on March 9 in a source zone that is UTC−5. Adding five hours produces 4:30 a.m. UTC on March 10. If the destination is UTC+10 on that date, add ten hours and obtain 2:30 p.m. on March 10. The viewer must look on Sunday, March 10, not March 9.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesExample: moving to the previous day
Suppose a source listing gives 1:00 a.m. on October 12 in a UTC+9 zone. Subtract nine hours to obtain 4:00 p.m. UTC on October 11. A destination at UTC−7 then shows 9:00 a.m. on October 11. Converting the clock without carrying the date backward would produce the wrong day.

Why these examples need a date
The same named location can have different UTC offsets before and after a daylight-saving change. Therefore, “6:00 p.m. ET” without a date is not enough information for a dependable conversion. Record the date first, then let a time-zone-aware converter apply the rule for that date.
Using the 2026 schedule and venue information correctly
The 2026 schedule lists multiple stages and venues. The playoffs and championship are listed for Las Vegas, Nevada, while Major IV is listed for Paris, France. Those venue details matter when a third-party source describes a start as “event local.” In that wording, the source clock may be Las Vegas time or Paris time rather than the time zone used by the person posting the listing.
Venue information is a clue, not a substitute for a stated source zone. A post about a Paris event might still be published in the author’s home time, and a broadcast listing may use a network-wide zone. Before converting, determine whether the source means:
- the venue’s local civil time;
- the broadcaster’s stated time zone;
- UTC or GMT;
- a regional abbreviation such as ET or PT; or
- a time already localized for the reader.
If the listing says “local time” but does not say whose local time, verify it against the official schedule instead of guessing from the venue.
Season and stage checks prevent the most common errors
The CDL site provides separate season and stage views, and the schedule can change between seasons. Before doing any arithmetic, compare the listing with the page’s selected season and stage.
| Check | What to confirm | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Season | 2026 or the 2027 season view | A saved time from one season may not describe the corresponding slot in another. |
| Stage | The exact Major, qualifier, playoffs or championship stage | Different stages have different dates, locations and match sequences. |
| Event date | Day, month and year | The date determines daylight-saving rules and whether midnight is crossed. |
| Venue | Las Vegas, Paris or another listed location | “Event local” times depend on the venue’s zone. |
| Displayed label | Whether the page says local time or names a zone | The official page localizes its display; a third-party page may not. |
| Update status | Whether the schedule has been refreshed recently | Match slots and broadcast times can change. |
Daylight saving time: the detail that changes the answer
Daylight saving time can make two dates in the same location use different offsets. It can also affect the source and destination differently: one location may change its clocks on a date when another location does not.

Do not calculate with a generic “time-zone difference” copied from a chart unless the chart is explicitly date-aware. Instead, enter the match date, source zone and destination IANA zone into a converter or calendar that applies historical and scheduled offset rules. For example, choose America/New_York rather than manually typing “Eastern Time, minus five.” Choose Europe/London rather than assuming London is always UTC.

When checking a result, inspect the offset shown next to each zone. If the tool reports a different offset from the one you expected, the date may be near a daylight-saving transition or the listing may have used a different regional rule.

With a time-zone converter
- Enter the match date exactly as written by the source.
- Enter the source clock time and choose the source zone by city or IANA name.
- Read the resulting UTC date and time, checking whether the date changed.
- Convert that UTC result to your destination IANA zone, such as
America/New_YorkorEurope/London. - Compare the final date and time with the current official CDL schedule.
With a calendar application
Create an event using the source time zone rather than entering the time as a floating, zone-less appointment. Set the event’s date, choose the source location or named zone, then view the calendar in your device’s own time zone. A correctly configured calendar will display the equivalent local time and will adjust when the event is viewed from another zone. Verify that the calendar has not silently assigned your device’s zone to an event that was meant to be in a venue’s zone.
With manual arithmetic
Manual arithmetic is suitable for a quick check when both offsets are known for the match date. First subtract the source offset to obtain UTC; then add the destination offset. Write the date beside every intermediate result. For a negative offset, subtracting a negative number means adding hours. If the hour reaches 24, advance the date; if it drops below 0, move to the previous date.
What to do when two listings disagree
Do not average the times or choose the one that looks familiar. Compare the two listings in this order:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →- Authority: Is one the official CDL schedule and the other an independent listing?
- Season and stage: Are both pages describing the same season and stage?
- Source zone: Does each listing explicitly state UTC, a regional abbreviation, a city or venue-local time?
- Venue and date: Are they using Las Vegas, Paris or another event location, and do they show the same calendar date?
- Daylight-saving rule: Did each calculation use the offset in effect on that date?
- Type of time: Is one a scheduled match start while the other is an updated broadcast time?
After those checks, use the current official page as the deciding reference. Its local-time display is designed to remove the need for a viewer-side conversion.
Best Value
Scheduled start versus broadcast timing
A listing can describe a scheduled match start, a broadcast start, a pre-show or an updated stream time. These are not necessarily the same event. If a third-party page is later than the official match slot, read its label carefully before concluding that the conversion is wrong.
Keep the original source wording in your notes. “Match starts at” and “coverage begins at” answer different questions, even when both use the same time zone. If the official schedule changes, update the calendar event instead of creating a second unverified conversion.
Midnight and date-change checklist
A conversion is incomplete until the date is checked. Use this quick checklist:
- Did the UTC intermediate result occur on the same date as the source?
- Did adding the destination offset move the result past 23:59?
- Did subtracting the destination offset move it before 00:00?
- Does your calendar show the match on the next or previous day?
- Does the official schedule show the same day after localization?
This matters especially for late-night matches. A 23:30 start in one zone can become an early-morning start on the following calendar day elsewhere; an early start in an eastern zone can become the previous day for a viewer farther west.
Refreshing the schedule before you watch
Schedule pages, stage views and match times are volatile. Refresh the official page shortly before the match and verify the selected season and stage again. This is more reliable than reusing a screenshot, a calendar entry made weeks earlier or a conversion based on a previous venue.
The official site also exposes a 2027 season view with its own stages and match slots. That view is a reminder to check the season selector whenever you return to the schedule. Do not reuse an offset, venue assumption or saved match time merely because the team names look familiar.
Quick Recap
A compact decision guide
| Your source | Best action |
|---|---|
| Current official CDL schedule | Read the displayed time as local; no manual conversion is normally required. |
| Third-party listing with a named source zone and date | Convert source zone to UTC, then UTC to your IANA zone. |
| Third-party listing with only a clock time | Find the missing date and source zone before converting. |
| “Event local” listing | Use the listed venue to identify the likely zone, then verify that interpretation. |
| Two conflicting listings | Compare authority, season, stage, zone, venue, daylight saving and start-type labels; prefer the current official page. |
| Result crosses midnight | Carry the date change through UTC and into the final local result. |
