UFL Mobile can be played with a compatible controller on iPhone, iPad, and Android. Current October 2026 reporting says DualShock and DualSense controllers work over Bluetooth or USB, and Bluetooth-capable Xbox Wireless Controllers are supported. Pair the controller in your phone or tablet’s system settings first, then launch UFL Mobile. UFL has not published a complete model-by-model compatibility list, so an individual Xbox or third-party gamepad may still require testing.
What controller support UFL Mobile currently has
UFL Mobile is available on iOS and Android. Controller support was reported as added in October 2026, after the mobile release had already reached a large audience. The currently reported support covers Sony DualShock and DualSense controllers, including wireless Bluetooth connections and wired USB connections. Xbox controllers are also included in current reporting, provided the particular controller can use Bluetooth for the wireless setup described below.

That support statement is broader than an official compatibility matrix. UFL’s mobile support information confirms the mobile platforms and provides an in-app support route, but it does not list every DualShock revision, Xbox model, Android handset, iPhone generation, or third-party gamepad. Treat “supported” as a practical starting point rather than a guarantee that every controller behaves identically.
| Controller type | Wireless method | Wired method | What is established |
|---|---|---|---|
| PS5 DualSense | Bluetooth | USB, with a compatible cable and device adapter if needed | Current reporting includes DualSense; Sony documents Bluetooth and USB pairing with supported mobile devices. |
| PS4 DualShock 4 | Bluetooth | USB, subject to the phone or tablet’s USB support | Current reporting includes DualShock controllers; the exact model matrix is not published. |
| Xbox Wireless Controller | Bluetooth on models that provide it | USB on supported device/controller combinations | Current reporting includes Xbox controllers, but not every Xbox model is confirmed. |
| Third-party Bluetooth gamepad | Bluetooth, using its own pairing sequence | Only if both the controller and mobile device support the connection | Recognition depends on the controller’s Bluetooth profile, operating-system support, button mapping, and UFL’s current implementation. |
Prepare the phone, tablet, and controller
Do these checks before opening the game. Pairing while UFL Mobile is already running can leave the game with an old input state, so a clean connection is more reliable.

- Haptic feedback - Feel physically responsive feedback to your in-game actions with dual actuators which replace traditional rumble motors. In your hands, these dynamic vibrations can simulate the feeling of everything from environments to the recoil of different weapons. .Operating temperature : 41 °F to 95 °F (5 °C to 35 °C)
- Adaptive triggers - Experience varying levels of force and tension as you interact with your in-game gear and environments. From pulling back an increasingly tight bowstring to hitting the brakes on a speeding car, feel physically connected to your on-screen actions.
- Built-in microphone and headset jack - Chat with friends online using the built-in microphone or by connecting a headset to the 3.5mm jack. Easily switch voice capture on and off at a moment’s notice with the dedicated mute button. Internet and account for PlayStation Network required.
- DualSense Controller PS5 and PC compatible. Not compatible with PS4.
- PS Remote Play requires Remote Play App connected to Wi-Fi, PS4 or PS5 console with the latest system software and compatible game. A PS4 or PS5 console with a wired connection via a LAN cable is recommended. Version 4.0 of the Remote Play App on iOS and iPadOS or version 4.1 on macOS is required for games to be playable with the controller over Bluetooth.
- Update UFL Mobile from the App Store or Google Play before troubleshooting controller input.
- Charge the controller. A low battery can make a controller disappear from the Bluetooth list or disconnect during play.
- Turn off the controller’s connection to a PS5, computer, or another phone. A controller that automatically reconnects elsewhere will not remain available for your mobile device.
- Turn on Bluetooth in the iPhone, iPad, or Android device’s system settings, not only inside a game.
- Keep the controller close to the mobile device while pairing and testing.
- For a cable connection, identify the phone or tablet port first. A USB-C phone may need a USB-C cable or an appropriate adapter; a Lightning iPhone or iPad requires an adapter that supports data, not just charging.
Do not assume that a cable charges and carries controller data at the same time. Some inexpensive cables are charge-only, and some adapters do not expose USB accessories to the operating system.
Connect a PS5 DualSense controller by Bluetooth
The DualSense pairing sequence is the same whether the mobile device is an iPhone, iPad, or Android phone or tablet.
- Disconnect the controller from other devices. If it is connected to a PS5 or computer, turn that device off or remove the controller’s active connection.
- Turn the DualSense off. If its light is on, hold the PS button until the controller shuts down.
- Enter pairing mode. Press and hold the Create button and the PS button together. Keep holding until the light bar begins flashing.
- Open system Bluetooth settings. On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, then Bluetooth. On Android, open Settings, then Connected devices or Bluetooth; wording varies by manufacturer and Android version.
- Select the controller. Tap the DualSense entry when it appears in the list of available devices. Wait until the status changes to connected or paired.
- Launch UFL Mobile. Open the game only after the operating system reports a completed pairing, then test movement and several buttons in a match or other playable screen.
If the DualSense does not appear, switch Bluetooth off and back on, make sure the controller is not still linked to the console, and repeat the Create-plus-PS sequence. If it appears as an old saved device but will not connect, remove or forget that entry and pair again.

Connect a PS4 DualShock 4
A DualShock 4 uses a different pairing shortcut. With the controller off and away from its console, press and hold the Share button and the PS button until the light bar flashes. Select the controller in the mobile device’s Bluetooth settings, wait for pairing to finish, and then open UFL Mobile.
Current reporting includes DualShock controllers, but UFL has not specified every hardware revision. If a particular DualShock pairs with the phone yet produces no game input, follow the troubleshooting sequence later in this guide rather than assuming the phone’s Bluetooth connection proves game compatibility.
Connect an Xbox controller by Bluetooth
Use an Xbox Wireless Controller model that actually includes Bluetooth. Some older Xbox controllers communicate wirelessly with a console through a proprietary connection but do not offer Bluetooth pairing to a phone.

- Feel you in-game actions and environement simulated through haptic feedback
- Experience varying force and tension at your fingertips with adaptive triggers
- Chat online through the built-in microphone
- Connect a headset directly via the 3.5mm jack
- Switch voice capture on and off using the dedicated mute button
- Power on the controller. Press the Xbox button. If it does not light, charge or replace the batteries.
- Start pairing mode. Press and hold the controller’s bind/connect button until the Xbox logo begins flashing.
- Open mobile Bluetooth settings. Use the Bluetooth page in iOS, iPadOS, or Android system settings.
- Choose the Xbox controller. Tap its entry in the available-device list and wait for the connected or paired status.
- Start UFL Mobile after pairing. Test the analog sticks, directional pad, face buttons, and triggers.
The absence of a model-specific UFL list is important here. Do not infer that every Xbox-branded controller works wirelessly just because one Bluetooth-capable Xbox Wireless Controller does. If the controller never appears in the phone’s Bluetooth list, check its model documentation for Bluetooth support before changing game settings.

Pair a generic Bluetooth gamepad
Third-party controllers do not share one universal button combination. Put the gamepad into its documented pairing mode, open the mobile device’s Bluetooth settings, select the controller, and wait for pairing to complete before launching UFL Mobile.
Three layers determine whether it will work in the game:
Rank #4
- Bring gaming worlds to life - Feel your in-game actions and environment simulated through haptic feedback*. Experience varying force and tension at your fingertips with adaptive triggers*
- Find your voice, share your passion - Chat online through the built-in microphone. Connect a headset directly via the 3.5mm jack. Record and broadcast your epic gaming moments with the create button
- A gaming icon in your hands - Enjoy a comfortable, evolved design with an iconic layout and enhanced sticks. Hear higher-fidelity** sound effects through the built-in speaker in supported games
- Multi-device connectivity - Connect using a USB Type-C cable or Bluetooth technology and easily play on more devices including Windows PC and Mac computers.
- Elevate PC gaming with advanced features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers in a range of blockbuster PC titles.
- Bluetooth profile: the controller must expose a profile that iOS, iPadOS, or Android can use for game input.
- Operating-system support: the phone or tablet must recognize the device and pass its inputs to applications.
- UFL implementation and mapping: UFL Mobile must accept that controller’s button and axis reports. A controller can be visible as connected while still being unusable in a particular game.
Because no complete third-party compatibility list has been published, avoid buying a gamepad solely on the assumption that “Bluetooth” guarantees UFL support. Keep the receipt and test the controller’s sticks, buttons, triggers, and menu navigation immediately.
Use a wired controller connection
Current reporting says DualShock and DualSense controllers can work with UFL Mobile over USB as well as Bluetooth. A wired connection can avoid wireless pairing conflicts, but it introduces port and adapter requirements.
- Close UFL Mobile.
- Connect the controller to the phone or tablet with a known data-capable USB cable.
- Use the correct adapter when the controller plug and device port differ. The adapter must support USB data and accessory connections.
- Unlock the device and accept any accessory or trust prompt that appears.
- Open UFL Mobile and test the controls.
Wired success depends on the exact phone or tablet, operating-system version, cable, adapter, and controller. A cable that works with a console is not automatically compatible with every mobile port, and a phone may not provide enough power for every accessory. If the device does not react at all, try another data cable and remove any hub before changing game settings.

Check that UFL Mobile is receiving input
There is no consistently documented UFL Mobile controller-settings path that can be assumed on every device or game build. Start with the operating system’s connection status, then test inside the game.
- Move both analog sticks and confirm that the on-screen player responds.
- Press the directional pad, face buttons, shoulder buttons, and triggers.
- Use the controller’s menu or system button only as a test; do not assume every console shortcut is reproduced on mobile.
- Check whether the game displays a controller-style button legend or continues to show touch controls. The visual layout can vary by version and device.
If only some buttons work, the problem is usually a mapping or profile issue rather than Bluetooth range. Test another supported controller, update the game, and confirm that the operating system identifies the controller correctly.
Troubleshoot a controller that will not work
The controller does not appear in Bluetooth settings
- Turn the controller off and repeat its pairing shortcut: Create plus PS for DualSense, Share plus PS for DualShock 4, or the bind/connect button for Xbox.
- Turn mobile Bluetooth off, wait a moment, and turn it on again.
- Move the controller away from the console, computer, or phone it was previously using, then retry.
- Charge the controller and check whether its status light enters the expected flashing pattern.
- Confirm that the Xbox model or third-party gamepad actually supports Bluetooth.
The phone says it is connected, but UFL has no response
- Close UFL Mobile completely and reopen it after the pairing is established.
- Forget the controller in Bluetooth settings, restart Bluetooth, and pair from the beginning.
- Install the latest UFL Mobile update and any controller firmware update supplied by its manufacturer.
- Disconnect other gamepads, keyboards, or input accessories that could confuse the game’s active device.
- Test every control. If the operating system sees the gamepad but UFL ignores all input, the issue may be game-side compatibility rather than a failed Bluetooth link.
Input is intermittent or delayed
- Keep the controller within a short distance of the phone or tablet and remove obstructions.
- Temporarily disable other nearby Bluetooth accessories to reduce connection competition.
- Use a wired connection if your device, adapter, and controller support USB data.
- Check battery level; a controller near shutdown can behave erratically.
- Restart both the mobile device and controller before testing again.
The controller worked once and stopped after switching devices
Many controllers automatically reconnect to their last console or computer. Turn that device off or disconnect the controller there, remove the stale mobile pairing if necessary, and repeat the appropriate pairing sequence. Do not launch UFL Mobile until the phone’s Bluetooth page shows the intended controller as connected.

Record the phone or tablet model, operating-system version, controller model, connection method, and whether the controller appears as connected in system settings. Submit those details through UFL Mobile’s in-app support route. UFL’s mobile support material does not provide a definitive model matrix, so support is the correct place to report a paired controller that the current game build does not recognize.
Choose between DualSense, DualShock, Xbox, and third-party controllers
| Decision factor | DualSense or DualShock | Bluetooth-capable Xbox controller | Third-party Bluetooth gamepad |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pairing clarity | Documented PS-button combinations; DualSense uses Create plus PS. | Uses the bind/connect button. | Varies by model and may require its manual. |
| Wireless convenience | Bluetooth, when the mobile device supports the controller. | Bluetooth on compatible models. | Depends on its Bluetooth profile and operating-system support. |
| Wired fallback | Current reporting includes USB use for DualShock and DualSense. | Depends on the controller, cable, and mobile-device support. | Only if the model and mobile device support USB input. |
| Compatibility certainty | Strongest evidence among the reported options, but no complete UFL model matrix. | Reasonable choice when the model explicitly supports Bluetooth; older models remain uncertain. | Lowest certainty because UFL has not published a complete third-party list. |
| Device fit | Full-size console controller; a phone mount may improve comfort. | Full-size controller; a mount is optional. | Size and phone-mount options vary by model. |
For the clearest documented path, start with a DualSense or DualShock that you already own. Choose an Xbox controller only after confirming that the specific model has Bluetooth. Consider a third-party pad when its operating-system support and return policy are clear, not simply because it advertises wireless play.
Quick Recap
Practical setup tips for longer sessions
- Pair before opening the game so UFL Mobile initializes with the controller already available.
- Keep a charged controller and, for wired play, a spare data-capable cable.
- Use a stable phone or tablet mount if holding a full-size controller makes the screen difficult to see.
- Do not place the phone where the cable is sharply bent; repeated strain can loosen a port or damage the connector.
- Update the mobile game and controller firmware when the manufacturer provides an official update path.
- If you switch between a console and mobile device frequently, expect to repeat pairing or manually select the mobile device as the active Bluetooth connection.
Key points to remember
- UFL Mobile runs on iOS and Android and currently reports support for DualShock, DualSense, and Xbox controllers.
- Pair in the phone or tablet’s Bluetooth settings before launching UFL Mobile.
- DualSense uses Create plus PS; DualShock 4 uses Share plus PS; Xbox uses its bind/connect button.
- DualShock and DualSense wired play is also currently reported, but USB cables, adapters, ports, and operating-system support must all line up.
- No complete UFL list covers every Xbox revision or third-party gamepad, so model-specific compatibility remains conditional.
- When the operating system pairs the controller but UFL does not respond, forget and re-pair it, update software, and use UFL’s in-app mobile support route if the problem remains.
