The least stressful route is to alternate two eligible squads, score in every match, and turn winning streaks into the Perfect Round objectives. Most players can leave Score in 14 and Triple Perfect unfinished; players who routinely sweep rounds may instead skip both long scoring counters.
How Ultimate Gauntlet 2 works
Ultimate Gauntlet 2 is a one-time objective group in FC 27 Ultimate Team. It contains 10 tasks, and completing any eight unlocks the group reward. The reward is untradeable Future Stars Julio César Enciso and Brajan Gruda, plus cosmetic items. The current objective listing from FUT.GG and the guide updated by AllThingsHow on 17 October 2026 describe the same 10-task structure.

A round consists of two matches. After a squad is used for a round, the event locks that starting XI and bench for the relevant lock period. Substitutes who never enter the pitch still count as part of the locked squad. You therefore need two complete line-ups to alternate between rounds. Check the event description before starting because the lock duration could make a third squad useful if you cannot wait for a line-up to become available.

Every task and its reward
The table below uses the requirements shown in the current objective listing and detailed guide. “Score in” objectives count matches, not goals: scoring five times in one match advances the counter by one.

Prepare squads before entering
Build two genuinely complete line-ups
Prepare Squad A and Squad B with a full starting XI and a full bench before you play. The event lock applies to both, so a “second squad” made only of 11 starters is not enough if the first squad’s substitutes remain unavailable. Include replacements for positions that commonly lose stamina or receive injuries, and make both teams capable of winning rather than treating one as a disposable reserve.
Confirm the lock and round rules
Read the Ultimate Gauntlet 2 description in Ultimate Team immediately before your first match. The detailed guide says the next round requires a different squad, while the exact lock duration can vary by event configuration. If the lock remains active longer than your normal play session, prepare a third squad or plan a break rather than forcing an ineligible line-up.
Set up a tracking note
Record the current values for wins, scored-in matches and completed Perfect rounds. The in-game Objectives screen is authoritative, but a quick note prevents you from confusing total goals with the separate-match counters. A match in which you score early should be marked as a successful scoring match even if you later lose.
The efficient completion route
1. Score at least once in every match
Your first priority is one goal in each match you play. This simultaneously progresses Score 1, Score in 4, Score in 10 and Score in 14. Do not chase extra goals solely to accelerate a scoring counter: ten goals in one match still contribute only one match to each “Score in” objective.
2. Take the baseline wins naturally
Play for the result after securing your first goal. The first win completes Win 1; the third and fifth wins complete Win 3 and Win 5. These objectives do not require separate match types, so deliberately switching modes or squads for them wastes games and increases the chance of breaking a useful streak.

3. Convert two-match sweeps into Perfect objectives
When you win both matches in a round, Perfect Round completes. Two separate two-match sweeps complete Double Perfect, and three sweeps complete Triple Perfect. The wins in those rounds also count toward Win 5. A practical approach is to use your stronger squad for a round when you are confident, then switch to the other complete squad for the next round.
4. Claim each completed task
Open Ultimate Team Objectives after a task completes, confirm that its counter has updated, and claim the individual reward. Claiming immediately makes it easier to spot a counter that failed to register and avoids overlooking a pack or Evolution item while continuing to play.
5. Stop at eight unless the remaining tasks suit you
Once eight objectives are complete, claim the group reward. Continuing for a ninth or tenth task is optional and should depend on your time, squad availability and tolerance for risk. There is no requirement to finish all 10 for the group reward.
Understanding Perfect Round, Double Perfect and Triple Perfect
Perfect Round
A Perfect Round is a two-match round in which you win both games. Winning one and drawing or losing the other does not count. The objective is based on the round pair, not on a running total of consecutive wins across unrelated rounds.
Double Perfect
Double Perfect requires two rounds that each contain two wins. They do not have to be adjacent, so a missed round does not erase an earlier Perfect Round. Keep alternating eligible squads and target the next complete sweep rather than restarting your progress.

Triple Perfect
Triple Perfect is the same condition achieved in three rounds. It is the most demanding task because it requires six wins arranged as three separate two-match sweeps. A player who can usually win both games of a round may pursue it for the 84+ packs; otherwise, it is a sensible candidate to skip after reaching eight total tasks.

Why the Score in 10 or Score in 14 counter may not move
You scored multiple goals in one match
These objectives count separate matches containing at least one goal. A 5–0 result advances the counter by one, not five. To move from 9/10 to 10/10, you need to score in one additional match.
The goal was not registered as yours
An own goal by the opponent, a disconnected match or a match that is abandoned before the game records its result may not satisfy the scoring condition. Finish the match normally, return to the post-match screen, and check Objectives before assuming the counter is broken.
You are checking the wrong objective group
Open the Ultimate Gauntlet 2 group specifically and inspect the individual Score in 10 or Score in 14 tile. Other FC 27 objectives can have similar wording and independent counters.
The update is delayed
Leave the match, return to the Ultimate Team main menu, and reopen Objectives. If the value remains unchanged, restart Ultimate Team and check again before playing another game. Keep a record of the match and final score so you can distinguish a delayed display from a genuinely uncounted result.

You expected goals to count across a locked or invalid squad
Changing squads does not increase the counter by itself. The match must be completed under the event’s eligibility rules, and the squad lock must be respected. If a line-up is unavailable, switch to the other prepared squad rather than attempting to bypass the lock.
Which two objectives should you skip?
You only need eight tasks, so the final choices should reflect your win consistency and available time. The following framework compares the routes using the four practical factors that matter: time investment, required win consistency, squad depth for alternating line-ups, and the rewards you give up.

Default low-stress route
Complete Score 1, Win 1, Score in 4, Win 3, Win 5, Perfect Round, Double Perfect and Score in 10. This reaches eight tasks without requiring three perfect rounds or fourteen separate scoring matches. It still demands five total wins and one two-match sweep, so it is not a no-win route.
Win-heavy alternative
If you can consistently win both games in a round, skip Score in 10 and Score in 14 instead. Triple Perfect then supplies the eighth task alongside the baseline objectives and Perfect Round. This option trades fourteen scoring-match requirements for six wins arranged into three sweeps, which can take less time for strong players but is much less forgiving after a loss.

Because the event awards individual packs and Evolutions, decide based on what you have already completed. If Score in 10 is nearly finished, it may be easier to complete than starting a new perfect-round requirement. Conversely, a player at two Perfect Rounds should usually attempt the third rather than abandon that progress.

What the group reward contains
Julio César Enciso
The group reward includes an untradeable Future Stars Julio César Enciso listed as an 85-rated CAM with ST++ as an additional position role.
Brajan Gruda
The second player is an untradeable Future Stars Brajan Gruda rated 84, with CAM, RM++, CM++ and RW++ roles listed in the detailed guide.
Cosmetic items
The group also includes cosmetic items. Individual tasks add packs, an Evolution, a badge Evolution and the Finn Jeltsch item, so claim each task reward rather than assuming the group reward includes everything.
Finn Jeltsch item qualification
The detailed guide lists Finn Jeltsch as an 85-rated CB with 82 PAC, 48 SHO, 70 PAS, 75 DRI, 86 DEF and 83 PHY, and identifies the reward as a loan item. The objective listing and in-game reward panel should be treated as final if they differ, because loan status affects how you plan squad usage.
Claiming rewards in the game and Companion App
In FC 27 Ultimate Team
- Open the Ultimate Team main menu.
- Select Objectives and open the Ultimate Gauntlet 2 group.
- Check the completed task tile and select its claim control.
- After eight tasks show as complete, select the group reward and confirm the untradeable player items and cosmetics are added to your club.
Using the Companion App
Electronic Arts’ FC 27 Football Ultimate Team for Beginners article, dated 25 September 2026, advises: “Get into this habit after every match: when you see ‘Objective Complete,’ go straight to the Objectives page of the Ultimate Team main menu.” For the Companion App workflow described in the detailed guide, leave Ultimate Team before closing FC 27, sign in to the app, open FC Hub and claim the available rewards. If a reward is missing, return to the game and refresh the Objectives group before opening packs or starting another match.
A round-by-round example
The following schedule illustrates how the overlap works without assuming a particular matchmaking result.
- Round 1, Squad A: score in both games and try for two wins. You can complete Score 1, Score in 4 progress, Win 1 and Perfect Round if both results are victories.
- Round 2, Squad B: score in both games and pursue another two wins. This adds two scoring matches and can complete Double Perfect if Round 1 was also a sweep.
- Round 3, Squad A: continue scoring in each match and play for Win 5. If both games are wins, Triple Perfect becomes available.
- Later rounds: use whichever squad is unlocked and keep scoring in new matches until Score in 10 is complete, then decide whether Score in 14 is worth the additional four scoring matches.
This schedule is a planning model, not a requirement to win every listed game. A lost match ends that round’s perfect result but does not remove earlier wins, scoring matches or completed objectives.

Common mistakes to avoid
- Using the same squad in consecutive locked rounds: the event may reject it even if you replace only the starting XI; the bench is part of the lock.
- Counting goals instead of matches: one match with several goals advances each scoring counter once.
- Chasing Triple Perfect before securing eight tasks: a single loss can make the extra objective inefficient when your baseline tasks are already complete.
- Leaving rewards unclaimed: an unclaimed task can make it harder to see whether the next counter has registered.
- Assuming Finn Jeltsch is a permanent item: verify whether the current reward panel says loan before building a long-term squad plan.
- Estimating pack value in coins: the published rewards specify pack types, not a guaranteed coin return or completion value, so compare routes by the packs and Evolutions actually forfeited.
Recommended decision checklist
- Have two complete squads, including benches, ready?
- Does the event description require a third squad because of the lock duration?
- Are you scoring in every match rather than farming extra goals in one game?
- Are you checking the Ultimate Gauntlet 2 tile after each match?
- Have you reached five wins and at least one Perfect Round?
- Would your next task require more time than the reward is worth to you?
- At eight completed tasks, have you claimed the group reward?
