To finish an ARC Raiders quest reliably, follow the exact objective wording, interact with the named object, and check that the quest tracker updates before you leave. A visit, pickup, or photo may be only one part of the requirement: some objectives also require a delivery, hand-in, or successful extraction. Quest steps have changed in updates, and the October 8, 2026 Frozen Trail 2.0 update added 22 quests, so older guides cannot be treated as a complete current checklist.
What “complete the objective” can mean
Quest objectives are not all simple location checks. The tracker may ask you to search or loot something, activate or repair an object, collect a particular item, upload data, take a photograph, deliver a reward, or extract with what you found. Reaching the named area does not necessarily complete the interaction.

Before starting a raid, read every objective in the quest log and identify the action as well as the location. For item objectives, note whether the wording says to collect, deliver, return, or extract with the item. Preserve quest items until that condition is met; a pickup alone may not finish the step.
A reliable way to complete a quest run
- Accept the quest and inspect every tracker entry. Record the map or landmark, the required interaction, any item or target, and whether the step calls for delivery or extraction.
- Plan around compatible objectives. If several active quests point to the same map, you can route between their locations in one raid. Do not assume they share progress: check each quest’s counter after an interaction.
- Interact with the target itself. At the location, search, repair, activate, upload, or inspect the named object as the tracker specifies. Being nearby is not a substitute for completing that interaction.
- Confirm progress before moving on. Reopen the tracker after each objective. If the counter has not changed, check whether you used the right object, completed all parts of the interaction, and are on a supported map.
- Protect items needed for completion. Keep quest items until you have fulfilled the stated hand-in, delivery, or extraction condition. If extraction is required, reaching the item is not enough.
- Check the tracker before extracting. Confirm each objective is complete and that any required item is still with you. If a step is incomplete, use the tracker wording to decide whether to continue, change your route, or try another raid.
Common hidden requirements, with examples
Older quest examples show why it helps to break a tracker entry into its individual actions. These examples are drawn from a guide whose list was current through Riven Tides, not a complete list for the October 2026 version.
#1 Best Overall
- ARC Raiders Deluxe Edition includes the base game and the following content: The Wanderer Set, including the following cosmetic items: “Valente” Outfit" “Pathfinder” Backpack,“Blanket Roll” Backpack Attachment.
- Plus: Character Cosmetic, Finger Gun Rapid Fire Emote, Cowboy Scrappy Body Type and Skin, 2 400 Raider Tokens.
| Objective pattern | What the step may actually require | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Visit, then interact | Go to the area and perform a specified action there; the visit alone may not count. | Off The Radar includes visiting a Field Depot and repairing its rooftop antenna. |
| Deliver and claim | Carry the requested object to the specified station, deliver it, and collect the reward if the tracker calls for it. | Down to Earth includes delivering a Field Crate to a Field Depot’s Supply Station and collecting the reward. |
| Destroy, then collect | Defeat the named enemy and obtain its corresponding quest item; a kill alone may leave the collection step unfinished. | The Trifecta calls for a Wasp, Hornet, and Snitch, along with the corresponding Driver or Scanner from each. |
| Find and extract | Locate the item and successfully leave with it when the objective explicitly requires extraction. | Celeste’s Journals, The Major’s Footlocker, and A Lay of the Land include extraction conditions for their respective quest items. |
| Take a photo | Use the Camera for the quest’s photo requirement, then check that the counter advances. | Frozen Trail 2.0 changed photo requirements for several quests; see the current-update section below. |
| Complete multiple locations or objects | Track each named site or interaction separately rather than treating the quest as one location visit. | Eyes in the Sky involves installing LiDAR scanners on named structures across three maps; A First Foothold has four structure or communications objectives. |
Other older examples include Picking Up the Pieces, which asks for three containers to be looted in an area marked with a loot category; Trash into Treasure, which requires six Wires and one Battery; and Eyes On the Prize, which involves rewiring a solar panel with three Wires. Broken Monument calls for a compass, video tape, and old field rations in different parts of the Dam Battlegrounds Scrap Yard. The step wording matters because an objective can combine a location with a count, item, or follow-up interaction. See the PC Gamer quest guide for its pre-Frozen Trail examples and check later updates against official notes.
Photo objectives changed in Frozen Trail 2.0
Embark Studios’ October 8, 2026 Frozen Trail 2.0 update says that The League, Reduced to Rubble, Life of a Pharmacist, Battening Down, and Groundbreaking now require photographs taken with the new Camera. For these steps, do not rely on an older guide’s description: equip or use the Camera, take the required picture, and verify that the quest counter changes.

The same update says the Camera can be bought from Shani, crafted at the Workbench, or found Topside. It also describes an Outpost project step that requires a photo of a farmland house. Those are current-update details, not a complete walkthrough of every new quest.

Quests branch across Shani, Celeste, Tian Wen, Apollo, and Lance rather than forming one fixed linear sequence. Use a quest list to understand likely prerequisites, then confirm what is unlocked in your own quest log. PC Gamer and UrGameTips each give a 100-quest count explicitly current through the Riven Tides update; neither count should be presented as the live post–Frozen Trail total. See the PC Gamer list and UrGameTips quest order with that date boundary in mind.

- Explore the Island: Solve the mystery of The ARK as you explore this massive island, discovering Explorer's Notebooks (filled with clues!) throughout
Frozen Trail 2.0 added 22 quests, according to Embark’s October 8 update notes. A reliable objective-by-objective list for those newest quests is not established here, so a guide claiming to cover every live quest should be checked against the in-game tracker or current official material. The update also says completing quests and quest objectives now grants XP.
When a quest objective does not count
First compare the tracker with what you actually did: confirm the target, item, interaction, map, and any extraction or delivery condition. If those match, consider whether the step is affected by a known issue or a changed requirement rather than repeating the same action indefinitely.

- Build a fire or shelter, then craft customizable clothing & armors to help protect against damage and extreme temperatures on your way to unlocking advanced technologies and equipment
- Chop down trees and mine metal and other precious resources to build massive multi-leveled structures composed of complex snap-linked parts
- Picking Up the Pieces on Pendola Pass: Embark’s Frozen Trail 2.0 notes say this quest cannot be completed on Pendola Pass, although it works on other maps. Try a supported map instead.
- Off The Radar and other map-sensitive steps: the older walkthrough includes a Field Depot antenna objective, while updates have documented map-specific limitations. Check the current notes before assuming the older location or route still works.
- Greasing Her Palms: the older guide gives map-specific inspection objectives, and Embark later expanded which Spaceport thrusters qualify. If the counter stalls, verify the exact target against the current patch information rather than relying only on an older route.
- Other objective bugs: Embark has previously fixed container-credit and multi-objective issues. Its Patch Notes 1.2.0 and Riven Tides patch notes document earlier fixes and limitations, but do not establish that every older issue remains active in the current version.
Frozen Trail 2.0 also lists a cinematic that may fail to trigger after Sizing Things Up. A missing cinematic by itself is not proof that the quest objective failed; check the tracker state.

How to use an older walkthrough without following stale steps
Use a walkthrough to identify quest names, dependencies, and older objective patterns—not as proof that every location, photo requirement, or map condition is unchanged. Check its update date and coverage boundary, compare patch-sensitive instructions with Embark’s notes, and let the in-game tracker determine whether your action counted. This matters especially for photo objectives, map-specific tasks, and quests whose qualifying targets have been expanded or changed.

For a broader pre-Frozen Trail catalog, the PC Gamer guide provides a detailed list current through Riven Tides. Its examples can clarify what a tracker phrase means, but the October 2026 update adds quests and changes some older steps, so the guide is not an exhaustive current-version checklist.
