How to Clear Recent FaceTime Calls on iPhone and Mac

Delete one or selected FaceTime calls on iPhone, remove an entry on Mac, and check how Phone & FaceTime iCloud syncing affects your devices.

On iPhone, delete FaceTime entries from the Phone app’s call history. On Mac, remove them in FaceTime. If you use both devices, check whether Phone & FaceTime is enabled in iCloud—but Apple’s setup guidance does not explicitly confirm that deleting a call on one device deletes it on the other.

Delete recent FaceTime calls on iPhone

Use the Phone app’s call history to remove FaceTime calls on iPhone. The exact layout can vary by iOS version; use the controls shown on your device.

Delete one call

  1. Open Phone and go to the call-history list. If your layout shows a Filter control, tap it and choose the relevant call category.
  2. Swipe the call entry all the way to the left to delete it.

Delete selected calls

  1. In the call-history list, tap Edit, then Select.
  2. Mark the calls you want to remove and tap Delete.

Apple’s documented steps describe selecting calls for deletion; they do not specify a separate command to erase the entire history at once. If you delete call history by mistake, Apple says recovery requires restoring the iPhone from a backup made before the deletion. Apple’s iPhone call-history instructions explain both deletion and recovery.

Remove a recent call on Mac

  1. Open FaceTime.
  2. Control-click the call entry you want to remove.
  3. Choose Delete from the context menu. Depending on the guide or software version, the command may be labeled Remove from Recents.

Apple’s Mac FaceTime guide documents removing an individual entry; it does not describe a dedicated command to clear all recent calls at once.

  • This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
  • Please check with your carrier to verify compatibility.
  • The device does not come with headphones or a SIM card. It does include a generic (Mfi certified) charging cable.
  • Tested for battery health and guaranteed to have a minimum battery capacity of 80%.

What iCloud syncing means for your call history

Phone and FaceTime data, including call history, can sync across configured Apple devices when they use the same Apple Account and Phone & FaceTime is enabled for iCloud. Apple’s setup guide says, “Your FaceTime call data—such as call history and video voicemails—is now synced between devices and stored in the cloud.” With that syncing turned off, the data stays on the device rather than being available on other devices through this feature. See Apple’s guides to syncing Phone and FaceTime data and setting up iCloud for Phone & FaceTime.

Check the iCloud setting on iPhone

  1. Open Settings and tap your name.
  2. Tap iCloud.
  3. On iOS 18 or later, tap See All; on iOS 16–17, tap Show All.
  4. Turn on Phone & FaceTime. If FaceTime is not installed, Apple notes that the setting may appear as Phone.

Apple’s cited guidance confirms that call history can sync, but does not explicitly guarantee that deleting an individual entry on iPhone removes the matching entry from Mac, or vice versa. If it matters that an entry is gone from both devices, check each device’s call history rather than assuming the deletion propagated.
