- Access to the account’s verified email address.
- A payment method accepted by the official store for a personal purchase or gift.
- A supported computer running Windows, macOS, or Linux for the launcher and game.
Early Access began on January 13, 2026. Hypixel Studios has not announced a closing date; the stated plan is to continue Early Access until the game is sufficiently polished and ready. Buying access therefore means joining a work in progress, not receiving a finished release.

How to claim your own Hytale Early Access copy
1. Create or sign in to a Hytale account
Open the Hytale account service and register with one of the available sign-in methods: Discord, Epic Games, Google, Microsoft, Twitch, or an email address and password. If you already have an account, use that account rather than creating a second one; your purchase, game profiles, username, and future upgrades are attached to it.

Check the account’s verification email and complete the verification link before opening the store. If the email does not arrive, inspect spam or promotional folders and confirm that you entered the intended address. A purchase cannot be completed while the account remains unverified.
2. Choose an Early Access edition
Go to the official Hytale store and select the Early Access edition you want. Editions can include different cosmetic items, so read the current store listing rather than relying on an older price or feature list.
The Starter Edition was listed at $19.99 USD when Early Access launched. That is the linked price for that edition, not a guarantee that every edition or regional checkout will show the same amount. The store page is the authority for the edition names, current prices, taxes, and included cosmetics at the time you buy.
3. Complete payment
Finish checkout while signed in to the account that should own the copy. Hypixel Studios says one account can manage multiple licenses and that an edition can be upgraded later by paying only the difference between the edition already owned and the edition selected for the upgrade.

4. Confirm the game profile
After payment, open the account’s Game Profiles area. Confirm that the expected Early Access edition appears and that the username and profile status are correct. A completed purchase secures the username through Game Profiles; a separate username-reservation token is no longer required.
If the profile is missing immediately after checkout, do not buy again straight away. Sign out and back in, check the confirmation email and transaction ID, and contact official support with the transaction details if the profile still does not appear.
Early Access editions, profiles, and upgrades
The store can change its edition lineup and cosmetic contents. The information below separates what is established from what must be checked on the live store page.

A single account can hold multiple profiles, and each profile can have its own edition. This is useful when one account manages more than one license, but it also makes the launcher’s profile selector important: installing or launching under the wrong profile can make an owned edition appear to be missing.
How to gift Hytale Early Access
What the buyer does
- Sign in to the recipient-facing purchase account at the official Hytale store.
- Choose the Early Access edition to give and select GIFT beside PURCHASE.
- Review the Gift Purchase Notice carefully. Confirm the destination account shown there before paying.
- Complete payment and retain the transaction ID.
- Wait for the gift email. The code is generated after payment and sent by email, then send that code to the intended recipient.
A gift is processed at the global price and is not subject to regional pricing. The official gift guidance also states that gifts are non-refundable, so verify the destination account and edition before confirming payment.
What the recipient receives
A gift does not place a ready-to-play profile on the buyer’s account. Instead, the recipient receives a gift code and redeems it on their own Hytale account. Redeeming the code creates a new game profile associated with that account.
How to redeem a Hytale gift code
Hytale gift codes contain 16 characters. They are commonly displayed in four groups, such as ABCD-1234-EF56-7890. Hyphens are part of the displayed format; copy the code exactly from the gift email or message.
- Sign in to the Hytale account that should permanently receive the game profile.
- Open https://accounts.hytale.com/redeem.
- Enter the complete 16-character code in the redemption field.
- Click Check Gift. This displays the edition associated with the code before it is claimed.
- Confirm that the edition is the one intended for you, then click Redeem Gift Code.
- Open Game Profiles and verify that the new profile was created and associated with your account.
Check the account identity before step five. Once redeemed, the gift creates the profile on that Hytale account; sending the code to the wrong account or redeeming it while signed in to the wrong account can leave the license attached to an unintended profile.
If the code does not work
- Compare every character with the original message. Distinguish letters from numbers and preserve all four groups.
- Make sure the code has not already been redeemed. A redeemed code will not create another profile.
- Confirm that you are on
accounts.hytale.com, not a look-alike website. - Ask the buyer for the transaction ID and the original gift email; official support may need both.
- Do not pay a second time for the same gift until support has checked the original transaction.
Download and install the Hytale launcher
1. Download from the official account page
Use only https://accounts.hytale.com/download to obtain the launcher. The page detects the operating system and provides instructions for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Avoid installers offered through unsolicited messages, “free reward” pages, file mirrors, or social-media replies. A genuine Hytale account page should use the hytale.com domain and HTTPS.
2. Sign in to the launcher
Open the installed launcher and sign in with the Hytale account that owns the personal purchase or redeemed gift. If you have multiple profiles, use the profile selector in the top-right corner to choose the profile containing the edition you want to install.

With the correct profile selected, click Install and follow the operating system’s prompts. Keep the launcher signed in while it downloads the game files. If the install button is unavailable or the launcher shows no entitlement, return to Game Profiles in the account website and confirm that the purchase or gift redemption completed.
4. Launch under the same profile
Before starting the game, check the top-right profile selector again. Selecting a different profile can make the launcher appear not to own the edition even though another profile on the same account does.

Account and purchase checks after installation
Check your edition
The Game Profiles area is the definitive place to confirm which edition belongs to each profile. Record the profile name and username if you manage multiple licenses, particularly before switching computers or reinstalling the launcher.
Check an upgrade
If you later choose a higher edition, begin the upgrade from the account or store flow while signed in to the owning account. Hypixel Studios says the charge is the price difference rather than the full price of the new edition. The exact amount depends on the editions shown in the current store.
Keep proof of purchase
Store the purchase email, gift email when applicable, and transaction ID somewhere you can retrieve them. They establish which account initiated the transaction and give support a way to locate a missing profile, failed payment, or gift-code issue.
Security rules for Hytale codes and accounts
- Check the address bar. Enter credentials and codes only on official Hytale pages, including the redemption page at accounts.hytale.com/redeem and launcher page at accounts.hytale.com/download.
- Ignore unsolicited offers. Hypixel Studios warns that unexpected free-reward claims, special invitations, and direct messages can be phishing attempts.
- Never publish a code. Treat a 16-character gift code like a payment credential. Anyone who redeems it first can create the profile on their account.
- Do not install modified launchers. Download the launcher from the official account page rather than a file-sharing link or an attachment.
- Use the intended account. Verify the signed-in email before buying or redeeming; profile ownership follows that account.
Troubleshooting by symptom
The store will not let me buy
Confirm that your email address is verified and that you are signed in to the account intended to own the copy. If checkout still fails, save any error message, avoid duplicate purchases, and contact official support with the account email and transaction information if a charge was attempted.
I paid, but no profile appears
Check the purchase email, transaction ID, and Game Profiles page. Sign out and back in to refresh the account, then check whether you used a different sign-in method or email address. If the entitlement remains absent, give support the transaction ID instead of purchasing another license.
The gift email has not arrived
Check spam, promotions, and any alternate inbox associated with the buyer’s store account. Confirm that payment completed and retain the transaction ID. Do not assume that a pending payment generated a usable code.
The code says it is invalid
Re-enter all 16 characters from the original message, including the displayed hyphen groups. Verify that you are signed in to the intended Hytale account and that the code has not already been redeemed. If the problem continues, the buyer should contact support with the transaction ID and original gift email.
The launcher shows the wrong edition
Open the top-right profile selector and choose the profile linked to the purchase or redeemed gift. Then revisit Game Profiles in the account website. Multiple profiles on one account can have different editions.
I cannot find a username-reservation token
You do not need one. The FAQ states that reservation tokens are no longer required; purchasing an edition permanently secures the username under Game Profiles.

What Early Access ownership means
Purchasing or redeeming a copy gives you access to the Early Access build associated with a game profile. It does not imply that every planned feature is already present or that the software is free of defects. The January 13, 2026 launch announcement explicitly describes missing features and expected bugs, and the Early Access period has no announced end date.
For the cleanest setup, use one verified Hytale account, confirm the profile after every purchase or redemption, keep the transaction ID, and install only the launcher downloaded from the official account page. Those checks resolve most ownership, code, and profile-selection mistakes before they become harder to fix.
