DJI lists Lexar Silver Plus A2 V30 cards from 64GB through 1TB and Kingston Canvas Go! Plus A2 V30 cards from 64GB through 512GB. The drone also has 42GB of internal storage, but that does not replace checking removable-card compatibility.
Which microSD cards does DJI support?
DJI’s US English support page says: “Supported Storage Card Type: UHS-I Speed Grade 3 rating or microSD cards in the recommended list.” Its Mini 5 Pro recommendations name these specific card families:

- Lexar Silver Plus A2 V30: 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.
- Kingston Canvas Go! Plus A2 V30: 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.
See DJI’s recommended storage-card list for the named products. The recommendation applies to those model families, not automatically to every microSD card from Lexar or Kingston.
What capacity should you choose?
Pick among the capacities DJI lists based on how much removable storage you want available between transfers. For either family, 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB are listed; Lexar’s listed options also include 1TB. DJI’s list establishes these specific options, but does not state a universal maximum capacity for every card that might work.
#1 Best Overall
- High-Performance: SanDisk Micro SDXC 128GB Extreme Memory Card, ideal for DJI Mini 4 Pro drones.
- Reliable Storage: This 2-pack provides ample storage space for 4K UHD video recording.
- Speedy Transfers: V30 speed rating ensures quick data transfer and smooth 4K video capture.
- Enhanced Performance: A2 rating for faster app loading and smoother drone operation.
- Complete Bundle: Includes a MicroSD card reader by Everything But Stromboli for added convenience.
The Mini 5 Pro also has 42GB of internal storage, according to DJI’s Canada store product page. Treat that as additional onboard storage, rather than proof that a removable card is unnecessary for every pilot. The product page lists 4K/60fps HDR and 4K/120fps slow-motion capture, but the consulted DJI pages do not provide a maximum recording bitrate or tested recording time by card capacity. Consequently, there is no source-backed minutes-per-card estimate to use when choosing a size.

How to compare the card labels
DJI’s general compatibility wording uses “UHS-I Speed Grade 3”; its recommended entries identify the named cards as A2 V30. Use the exact model and capacity in DJI’s list as the straightforward buying check. A2 is an application-performance class, not the main video-write requirement stated by DJI here. Likewise, an advertised peak transfer speed alone does not establish sustained recording performance.
Which listed card should you buy?
There is no evidence in the cited DJI material that one of these two families is universally faster, more reliable or better value. Choose the exact Lexar or Kingston model and a listed capacity that suits the amount of removable storage you want. If you prefer 1TB, Lexar is the only one of these families for which DJI lists that capacity; otherwise both families have listed options through 512GB.
