For most collectors, the Disney Lorcana: Hyperia City Illumineer’s Trove is the best all-around purchase. It combines eight randomized booster packs with six damage dice in a full-art storage box. Buy the Set 15 Two-Player Deck instead if you want to start playing immediately with another person, choose a Booster Display if opening the largest number of randomized packs is your goal, and choose a Miguel or Snowboarding Stitch playmat only when you need a play surface rather than more cards.
Hyperia City products have a prerelease date of October 16, 2026, followed by the wider release on October 23, 2026. Prices and stock are not fixed in the official listings, so confirm the live price, seller, language and availability before paying.

Quick comparison: which Hyperia City product fits you?
| Product | What is established about it | Best for | Main limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Illumineer’s Trove | Full-art box, 8 booster packs and 6 damage dice | Collectors who want sealed packs plus presentation and storage | Randomized contents; it cannot guarantee a particular card |
| Set 15 Two-Player Deck | Two-player product for the Hyperia City release; exact card and accessory contents are not stated in the official material | Two people who want to play right away | Less suited to someone primarily seeking many unopened packs |
| Booster Display | Sealed display of randomized booster packs; the official listings do not state the pack count in the material available here | Opening more packs and exploring the set’s range | Randomness and no stated guarantee of specific cards |
| Miguel playmat | Hyperia City accessory featuring Miguel | Table setup and character-themed play areas | Does not add cards to your collection |
| Snowboarding Stitch playmat | Hyperia City accessory featuring Snowboarding Stitch | Players who want a different themed surface | Does not add cards to your collection |
The choice is therefore about purpose rather than a universal “best” box: collection presentation, immediate two-player play, maximum pack opening or table decoration.

Hyperia City is a new Disney Lorcana setting where a metropolitan city and fantasy elements meet. The set introduces Coco characters, including members of the Rivera family, alongside characters and themes highlighted by Ravensburger such as Disney Princesses, Mickey Mouse, Zootopia and Big Hero 6. Enchanted cards are also part of the set’s collector appeal.

Ravensburger says six Illustrious cards are planned for Hyperia City, with only 23 copies of each printed. That extremely limited print quantity describes the planned number of copies, not a promise that any particular product contains one. Sealed products remain discovery products: you may open desirable cards, but no official listing establishes a guaranteed card, pull rate or specific rarity in a box.
Ink drops are a new gameplay system
Hyperia City introduces ink drops, one-time-use counters that can help pay ink costs. Ravensburger’s October 8, 2026 rules notes define an ink drop as a counter you may use to pay one ink. When you spend it, remove it; it is not a card and is not shuffled into your deck.
Printed ink drops appear in Hyperia City booster packs. If a printed counter is unavailable during a game, a die or another suitable object can represent it. Keep the substitute separate from cards so players can clearly see how many unused counters remain.

Illumineer’s Trove: the strongest default for collectors
The Illumineer’s Trove is Ravensburger’s collector-oriented package for Hyperia City. Its confirmed contents are:
- A full-art storage box.
- Eight Hyperia City booster packs.
- Six damage dice.
The full-art box gives the product a display and storage role that a loose group of boosters does not provide. The damage dice are useful at the table, although they are not a substitute for a playmat or a ready-to-play deck. Because the eight packs are randomized, the Trove is best when you enjoy opening products and want a contained starting point for a collection.
Choose the Trove when at least two of these are true: you want sealed packs, you value presentation, you need a storage box, or you want dice included in the same purchase. Do not choose it on the assumption that six damage dice or the full-art box improves your odds of finding an Illustrious or Enchanted card; no such guarantee is stated.
Set 15 Two-Player Deck: the practical choice for immediate games
The Set 15 Two-Player Deck is designed around playing with another person rather than maximizing randomized openings. It is the logical first purchase for a parent and child, two friends learning together, or an existing player introducing someone to Disney Lorcana.
The official material supplied for this guide does not specify the deck lists, card counts, tokens or other included accessories. Check the package description at the store before buying if a particular card, character or accessory is important to you. Do not infer that this product includes the eight boosters or the six damage dice associated with the Illumineer’s Trove.
Its value is measured by readiness: two people can begin with one product if the decks are supplied as advertised, instead of each person assembling a collection first. If your priority is opening packs, the Two-Player Deck is the wrong format even if it is the easiest way to start playing.
Booster Display: the pack-opening route
A Booster Display is the choice for players and collectors who want many randomized openings in one sealed unit. Asmodee’s catalog lists Hyperia City Booster Displays in English and French. The official information available here does not state how many booster packs a display contains, so verify the pack count on the live listing and use that figure when comparing prices.
Displays are useful when you want broad exposure to commons, uncommons and other randomized cards for deck building or trading. They are not a targeted-card purchase: opening more packs can increase the number of cards you see, but it still does not guarantee an Illustrious, Enchanted or any named character. If you need one specific card, sealed randomness is usually an inefficient route; the official product listings do not document a singles marketplace, so you would need to check reputable secondary-card sellers separately.

Miguel and Snowboarding Stitch playmats: accessories, not card products
Asmodee’s catalog lists Hyperia City playmats featuring Miguel and Snowboarding Stitch. A playmat protects a tabletop, defines a personal play area and adds character art to game nights. It does not provide booster packs, decks, dice or other card-game contents unless a retailer explicitly bundles them.
Rank #2
- A GLIMMERING ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION: For collectors and new players alike, the Scrooge McDuck – S.H.U.S.H. promo card is a must-have. With its “glimmer foil” finish it will quickly become a favorite card in your collection or decks.
- PLENTY OF STORAGE SPACE: Within the storage box, you can keep up to 250 sleeved cards. That way you can protect your cards from unexpected blizzards or frozen blasts.
- A BLAST FROM THE PAST: Enjoy opening 5 booster packs for a total of 60 cards. This assorted collection features randomly selected backs from previous sets.
- A GREAT GIFT FOR FANS:The perfect surprise for Disney lovers, card collectors, or players—this gift box delivers magical gameplay and collecting fun for any Scrooge McDuck or Lorcana fan.
Buy a playmat after deciding which card product you need. If you are choosing between the two designs, the decision is purely about artwork and personal preference; no gameplay difference is established.
Match the product to your buying goal
If you are primarily a collector
- Start with the Illumineer’s Trove for its full-art box, eight boosters and six damage dice.
- Confirm that the box is factory sealed and that the listing identifies Hyperia City rather than an earlier set.
- Set a spending limit before opening. Six planned Illustrious cards with 23 copies each make the chase exciting, but rarity means you should not treat a single purchase as a reliable way to obtain one.
- Consider a Booster Display only if you specifically want more randomized openings and accept duplicate cards.
If two people want to play immediately
- Choose the Set 15 Two-Player Deck first.
- Check the language and the retailer’s description for the actual deck configuration and accessories.
- Add a playmat only if you want a dedicated surface; it is optional for starting a game.
- Use additional boosters later to expand collections after both players know which characters, colors and strategies they enjoy.
If opening packs is the main entertainment
- Compare the live price and confirmed pack count of a Booster Display with the Trove’s eight packs.
- Choose the display when its verified pack total and price fit your budget better than buying several smaller products.
- Choose the Trove instead when the full-art box and dice have meaningful value to you.
- Keep expectations realistic: neither format states a guaranteed rarity or named card.
If you already own cards and need a table setup
Buy the Miguel or Snowboarding Stitch playmat that matches your preferred artwork. A mat solves a surface and presentation problem; it is not a substitute for missing decks or boosters.
Release timing, languages and buying channels
Hyperia City has a prerelease on October 16, 2026 and an everywhere release on October 23, 2026. During the prerelease window, availability may be concentrated in participating local game stores and selected Disney Parks or Disney stores. Ravensburger identifies Local Game Stores, the Ravensburger Store and Amazon as buying channels.

Because inventory and pricing can change around a launch, compare at least two authorized channels when possible. Verify the seller, condition, language, dispatch timing and return policy. A marketplace listing can use the correct product name while offering a different language, an opened box or a delayed shipment.

The official material does not provide a stable MSRP or inventory figure. Use the following method instead of treating a temporary listing price as a permanent value:
- Record the delivered price. Include shipping, taxes and any mandatory fees.
- Identify confirmed contents. For the Trove, that means eight boosters, six damage dice and the full-art box. For a display, use only the pack count printed in the live listing because it is not stated in the catalog information here.
- Separate cards from accessories. Decide what the box, dice or playmat are worth to you before comparing pack costs.
- Check the release status. A prerelease premium may not represent the price after the wider launch.
- Reject unsupported promises. Do not pay extra for claims of guaranteed Enchanted, Illustrious or character cards unless an official product description explicitly states such a guarantee.
A simple calculation can help: divide the delivered price by the number of confirmed booster packs to estimate a pack cost, then treat the storage box and dice as separate accessory value. Do not divide a playmat’s price by cards because it contains no confirmed card product.

What to expect when opening Hyperia City products
Randomized contents and duplicates
Booster packs and displays are randomized sealed products. Opening several packs can produce duplicates, which may be useful for trading or building decks but can disappoint someone expecting a complete set. Keep a written or digital inventory as you open so you can identify missing cards without repeatedly purchasing the same format.
Limited cards require a realistic plan
The six Illustrious cards have a stated print quantity of 23 copies each. That is a scarcity fact, not a probability statement. No official pull-rate table is supplied here, so do not convert the print run into odds for a Trove, display or individual booster. If a specific limited card is your only goal, decide in advance whether buying or trading for that card on the secondary market is more sensible than opening sealed products.
Keep ink drops with game components
Printed ink drops found in boosters are counters, not cards for deck construction. Store them with dice and other play materials. During a game, each unused ink drop can pay one ink once; remove it immediately after spending it. If you use dice or tokens as substitutes, agree with your opponent on their meaning before play begins.
Common buying mistakes and fixes
- Mistake: buying a playmat expecting cards. Fix: read the contents line; the Miguel and Snowboarding Stitch products are accessories.
- Mistake: assuming every sealed product has the same pack count. Fix: the Trove’s eight packs are confirmed, while the display count must be verified on the live listing.
- Mistake: expecting a guaranteed chase card. Fix: treat all boosters as randomized unless a product explicitly guarantees otherwise.
- Mistake: ignoring language. Fix: confirm English or French before checkout, especially for displays and Troves.
- Mistake: paying a prerelease premium without checking alternatives. Fix: compare local game stores, the Ravensburger Store and Amazon, then reassess after the wider release.
- Mistake: buying a Two-Player Deck for a solo collector. Fix: select it for immediate two-person play; select a Trove or display for sealed collecting.
- Mistake: treating the 23-copy figure as pack odds. Fix: it describes planned printing for each Illustrious card, not a disclosed probability.
A checkout checklist
- Write down your goal: play now, collect, open packs or decorate a play area.
- Select the matching format rather than buying the most expensive-looking box.
- Confirm the exact product name includes Hyperia City and, where relevant, “Set 15.”
- Check language, sealed condition, seller identity and return terms.
- Verify pack count and listed accessories; never fill missing details with assumptions.
- Compare total delivered cost across available channels.
- Check whether the order is a prerelease allocation or a regular release shipment.
- Save the receipt and photograph the sealed package before opening in case the shipment is damaged or incorrect.
Bottom-line choice
Buy the Hyperia City Illumineer’s Trove for the best balance of collection appeal and confirmed contents: eight boosters, six damage dice and a full-art box. Buy the Set 15 Two-Player Deck when immediate two-person play matters more than opening packs. Buy a Booster Display when you have verified its pack count and want the broadest randomized opening. Choose the Miguel or Snowboarding Stitch playmat only for table setup. In every case, confirm the live price, seller, language and stock before checkout.
