Choose which settings appear and change their order
-
Open Settings.
-
Tap Camera, then Camera Control, then Customize.
-
Use the controls shown on the Customize screen to choose available settings and change their order. Apple confirms that ordering can be changed, but its guide does not specify a particular reordering gesture; follow the on-screen instructions rather than assuming you need to drag an item.

Apple’s Camera Control guide lists Exposure, Depth, Zoom, Cameras, Styles, and Tone as settings. The controls available in the overlay depend on the camera mode, so you may not see every option at once.

Camera Control overlay settings are not all Camera app tools
The hardware Camera Control overlay is separate from other controls in the Camera app. Apple’s advanced camera tools guide describes aperture, shutter speed, white balance, and histogram as tools accessed from the Camera Controls button or optionally added above the camera frame. Do not assume these are items in the Camera Control overlay.
Similarly, Apple’s guide to iPhone camera tools covers in-app tools above the camera frame. These are distinct from the hardware overlay you customize through Camera Control settings.
