How to install Archipelago Additions
Choose this route if you specifically want the Isle of Berk expansion. It is not a standalone download: the project listing requires the base Isle of Berk mod, its variant loader and add-ons, Geckolib, and Forge at compatible versions.

Match the required versions
- Minecraft Java Edition 1.18.2.
- Forge 40.2.10 or above.
- Geckolib 1.18.2-3.0.46.
- Isle of Berk 1.18.2-1.2.0.

Install and apply the configuration
- In the Minecraft launcher, create or select a Java Edition 1.18.2 installation using Forge 40.2.10 or later.
- Download Archipelago Additions and every required dependency in versions compatible with that Minecraft and Forge installation. CurseForge’s Java installation guidance recommends filtering files by Minecraft version and mod loader: CurseForge’s Java Edition installation guide.
- Place the downloaded mod files in the
modsfolder for that Minecraft installation, or use a compatible launcher that manages the same profile and files. - Launch the game once with Archipelago Additions installed. The project listing instructs users to install its modified configs after this first load.
- Install the modified configs as directed on the project page, then create a world. Do not create the world before applying those configs.
The listing warns that Archipelago Additions is incompatible with OptiFine and has limited compatibility with Infernos. If you use either, consult the current project page before building a setup around it.

Modrinth’s How To Train Your Dragon! pack
This is a Forge modpack for Java Edition 1.18.2, separate from Archipelago Additions and Isle of Berk. Install the pack through a launcher that supports Modrinth modpacks, or follow the current instructions on its Modrinth project page. Do not treat it as an individual mod to add to an existing profile without checking its included mods and instructions.

Because it labels the project alpha, those details and other features may change; check the current page for the applicable Minecraft version, loader, and exact controls before relying on them.
