Nintendo’s new Choose-Your-Game bundle is scheduled for November 12, 2026, at a suggested price of ¥63,980 including tax; it includes one download code for a choice of three games—not all three. If you need another system language or an account registered outside Japan, compare the multi-language model instead.
Start with language and Nintendo Account region
The Japan-only system supports Japanese as its only system language and can be linked only to Nintendo Accounts whose country or region is set to Japan. Nintendo describes it as designed for use in Japan. A game may offer its own language settings, but Nintendo says software language generally follows the system language, so an individual game’s options do not change the console’s language or account restrictions. Nintendo’s model comparison sets out the distinctions.

If you need a different system language or use an account registered to another region, consider the multi-language model. It supports 16 languages and Nintendo Accounts from all regions, costs ¥69,980 including tax at Nintendo’s listed suggested price, and is sold only through Nintendo Store. The Japan-only console by itself is listed at ¥59,980 including tax. These are Nintendo’s suggested prices, not guarantees of current retailer prices, stock, or checkout terms. Nintendo’s Switch 2 lineup lists the console prices.
Compare the bundle and console-only options
| Option | Suggested price, including tax | What you get | Key consideration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Japan-only console | ¥59,980 | Console; no game bundle described on Nintendo’s lineup page | Japanese system language and Japan-region accounts only |
| Japan-only Choose-Your-Game bundle | ¥63,980 | Japan-only console plus a code to choose one of three downloadable games | Planned release November 12, 2026; code expires March 31, 2027 |
| Multi-language console | ¥69,980 | Multi-language system; no game bundle described on Nintendo’s lineup page | 16 languages and accounts from all regions; sold only through Nintendo Store |
Prices are Nintendo’s stated suggested prices. Check the seller’s current price and availability before buying. The new bundle was announced October 6, 2026, and is not scheduled to go on sale until November 12, 2026. Nintendo’s lineup and model comparison describe the console variants.

Make sure the intended recipient’s account is the one used when redeeming. Nintendo’s bundle download instructions explain the account and download requirements.

Nintendo says the Japan-only system is designed for use in Japan. Its guidance warns that operation is not guaranteed for overseas packaged games, and damage or malfunctions overseas are outside its warranty and repair service. If you plan to use the system outside Japan, review Nintendo’s current model and regional guidance before buying rather than treating the Japan-only price as equivalent to a multi-language system.

Before you buy
- Confirm that Japanese-only system language and a Japan-region Nintendo Account suit the person who will use the console.
- Choose the game that person wants, remembering that the bundle grants one title, not three.
- Check that the download code can be redeemed before its March 31, 2027 expiration and that the intended account will redeem it.
- For an online listing, verify it is Japan-market stock and confirm the exact hardware variant, included or selected game, price, availability, and code deadline. The planned November 12 release date means the new bundle should not be represented as already on sale before then.
