Pixel 10 display sizes and resolutions at a glance
Google’s current lineup spans three conventional screen sizes and two Fold panels. The Fold’s inner screen has a different shape from a typical phone display, so compare it separately rather than ranking it by resolution alone.

Figures are Google’s published values: Pixel 10-family and Fold specifications are from 2025, while Pixel 10a specifications are from 2026. Google notes that screens have rounded corners, so the actual viewable area is smaller than a rectangular diagonal measurement suggests. Which Pixel screen size should you choose?
Choose a 6.3-inch phone for a conventional, more compact display
The Pixel 10a, Pixel 10, and Pixel 10 Pro are all listed at 6.3 inches. That diagonal tells you the approximate screen size, but not the phone’s full height or width. Google lists the Pixel 10 Pro at 152.8 × 72.0 × 8.6 mm. If you want a 6.3-inch display, the choice among these models is mainly about resolution and other model differences, rather than screen diagonal.

Choose the Pixel 10 Pro XL for the largest conventional screen
At 6.8 inches, the Pixel 10 Pro XL is the largest conventional display in this lineup. It is also larger in the hand: Google lists its body at 162.8 × 76.6 × 8.5 mm, compared with the Pixel 10 Pro’s 152.8 × 72.0 × 8.6 mm. Consider both body dimensions if you are choosing a phone to fit your hand or pocket; diagonal alone does not describe handling.
Choose the Pixel 10 Pro Fold for a large screen that opens out
The Fold has a 6.4-inch cover display for use while closed and an 8-inch inner display when unfolded. The inside panel is much larger and closer to square than a standard phone screen, so its 2076 × 2152 resolution and 373 PPI are not directly comparable to a tall conventional panel. The cover display is 1080 × 2364 at 408 PPI.

How resolution and PPI affect the choice
Resolution is the number of pixels across and down the display; PPI describes how densely those pixels are packed across its size. Looking at both helps compare detail, while remembering that screen shape and diagonal also matter.

- Pixel 10 Pro: Its 1280 × 2856 resolution and 495 PPI make it the higher-density option among the 6.3-inch conventional phones. If you want the Pixel 10’s screen size but prioritize the higher-resolution specification, this is the model to compare.
- Pixel 10 Pro XL: It has more total pixels than the Pro, at 1344 × 2992, but its larger display gives it a slightly lower listed density of 486 PPI.
- Pixel 10 Pro Fold: Judge its two panels by their distinct uses and shapes. The inner display provides a larger unfolded viewing area; the lower PPI figure does not mean it should be assessed as though it were a standard tall phone screen.
Brightness and refresh rate: useful secondary comparisons
Google lists brightness using separate HDR and peak figures. Its hardware specifications say HDR brightness is measured at a 100% on-pixel ratio and peak brightness at a 5% on-pixel ratio. Those conditions differ, so the figures should not be treated as interchangeable everyday brightness readings.

Refresh-rate ranges are also specifications, not a promise that every app or screen state will use the full range. Google cautions that Smooth Display is not available for all apps or content. The Pixel 10a, Pixel 10, and Fold cover panel are listed at 60–120 Hz; the Pro, Pro XL, and Fold inner panel are listed at 1–120 Hz.
A practical way to make your choice
- Decide on the form factor. Choose between a conventional phone and the Fold’s separate cover and inner displays.
- Set your preferred screen size. For a conventional display, compare the 6.3-inch models with the 6.8-inch XL. Check full body dimensions if width and height matter to handling.
- Compare resolution and density within that size. At 6.3 inches, the Pixel 10 Pro lists higher resolution and PPI than the Pixel 10a and Pixel 10.
- Use brightness and refresh rate as tie-breakers. Read their measurement and availability qualifications, and do not assume a listed maximum applies to every viewing condition or app.
What the specifications can—and cannot—tell you
Google’s figures make the differences in size, resolution, density, brightness, and refresh-rate range clear. They are manufacturer specifications, not independent laboratory measurements or a hands-on comparison. They do not establish how each screen looks to you in a particular room or app.
