PlayStation Plus games you claimed or downloaded through the subscription are not permanent purchases. Monthly games require an active membership to play; Game Catalog and Classics Catalog titles also require an eligible active plan, and catalog games can leave the service. PlayStation says you keep redeemed Plus packs and avatars, as well as games you actually bought at a Plus discount.
How to check your PlayStation Plus games
Check the account that claimed or downloaded the title. A game appearing in your library does not by itself mean you own it permanently: a monthly-game claim remains a Plus entitlement, while a catalog download is tied to the subscription and the title’s continued availability.

On PS5
- From the Games home screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Open Benefits, then select Monthly Games to review monthly titles. To browse subscription catalog games, select Game Catalog instead.
- For a particular title, check its current PlayStation Store or console listing while signed in to the account that claimed or downloaded it.
On PS4
- From the function screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Select Monthly Games to review monthly titles. PlayStation documents the claim action as Add to Library > Download.
- Choose Game Catalog to browse catalog titles if your plan includes that benefit, then check the individual game’s current listing.
In a browser or the PlayStation App
PlayStation supports starting monthly-game downloads remotely through a web browser or the PlayStation App. Sign in to the same account and inspect its library or Monthly Games area to check what it has claimed. A locally installed copy is not proof of a lasting license. Menu labels can change with console software updates.

Cancellation does not end benefits immediately
Canceling turns off the next renewal; it does not cut off access on the day you cancel. PlayStation’s UK cancellation guidance says benefits continue until the end of the period already paid for. Subscription games become unavailable when that membership period ends. Check your account’s subscription details for its paid-through date. Local support wording and account options may differ by region.

Why your list may differ from someone else’s
PlayStation says availability can vary by country or region, membership tier, platform, account type, age, and parental-control settings. Catalog lineups change over time, and some games have announced removal dates. A title available to another account—or shown in an older list—may not be available to yours. PlayStation’s membership overview explains benefits by tier; use the local PlayStation Store and current account listing to confirm a specific game.

If a claimed monthly game is unavailable because your membership ended, resubscribing can restore access to eligible claimed games, provided the game and service are still available. It does not convert the claim into a permanent purchase. If a catalog title has left the service, renewing alone may not restore access; the title must be available through the service or purchased separately.
