A province-level service list cannot confirm reception at a particular address.
Check your exact address in Fizz’s coverage map
- Open Fizz’s dynamic coverage map from its coverage page or coverage FAQ.
- Search the exact address or destination where you need service. Check your home, workplace, and other places you regularly visit rather than relying on a province name alone.
- Review the map’s result for subscription availability and the service footprint at that location.
- Check that your plan’s geographic coverage includes the places where you expect to use calls, texts, and data.
- If you need 5G, check its availability at the location and confirm that your plan and phone support it.
The map is the practical first check, not a promise of reception inside every building or at every moment. Local conditions can affect the signal you actually receive.

Subscription eligibility and plan coverage are different

Fizz lists mobile service in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia. This describes its subscription-area provinces; it does not establish coverage at every address within them. Use the live map to check the address where you live.

Coverage area: where your plan includes service
Fizz offers provincial, Canada, and Canada + United States coverage options. The selected plan determines where calls, texts, and mobile data are included. A provincial plan is limited to its selected province unless applicable coverage or add-ons extend it. Check the plan’s geographic coverage separately from the map’s signal footprint.

What Fizz EXT means
Your phone connects to the Fizz network first and may switch to an available partner network when the Fizz network is unavailable. The display may show “Fizz EXT” while connected to a partner. Treat this as extended or backup access, not as a guarantee that service will be identical or available everywhere in Canada.
Fizz describes partner coverage as intended for occasional use, with most calls, texts, and data usage expected within your subscription area. If most of your usage is outside that area for three consecutive billing periods, Fizz says it may restrict or suspend partner-network access. Plan coverage and partner-network reach are separate considerations.

How to check whether Fizz 5G is available
Fizz says its 5G network serves main urban areas. Access requires all three of the following:
- A location with 5G coverage.
- A compatible device.
- A plan that includes 5G.
Fizz lists mobile service in Manitoba but says 5G is not yet available there. General mobile availability therefore does not mean 5G is available. Check the current map for your location because coverage can change.

If the map indicates 5G but your phone does not connect, confirm the device and plan requirements, set 5G as the preferred network type if that option is available on your phone, and restart the device. A 5G or 5G+ icon can vary by manufacturer and by itself does not establish a particular speed.

Mobile signals come from fixed ground antennas and can be weakened by obstructions. Fizz names concrete, steel, aluminum, mountains, valleys, and forests as factors that can affect reception. Partner antennas may also be positioned differently from Fizz antennas, so a partner network could work better at a location where the Fizz network is problematic.

For a more useful assessment, check every important address in the map and, if possible, test the phone in the specific buildings and places where you will use it. A mapped coverage result does not guarantee indoor reception or a particular data speed.
