Check the processor on a Galaxy phone you own
- Open Settings > About Phone. Samsung directs users to this screen for details about their phone. Menu wording can vary as software changes. Samsung’s processor guide gives this general instruction.
- Look for the processor information. If the processor version is not shown clearly, Samsung suggests using CPU-Z to identify it. Check the app’s displayed processor rather than inferring it from the Galaxy model name.
- Record the complete model number. You can find it in About Phone. Use it alongside the displayed processor to identify the precise variant.
Samsung’s steps explain how to inspect a Samsung phone; they do not establish what processor will be in an S27 Ultra. Once Samsung publishes specifications for the S27 Ultra, compare your unit’s complete model number with the official specification for its market.

What is confirmed about the Galaxy S27 Ultra?
As of October 4, 2026, Samsung has not officially confirmed the S27 Ultra’s processor or a country-by-country chipset allocation in the sources available. Recent reporting conflicts: SamMobile reported on October 2 that an allocation had not been decided, while MoneyToday reported on September 1 that Samsung was considering Exynos in some markets, including South Korea. Neither report is Samsung confirmation. SamMobile’s report and MoneyToday’s report should therefore be treated as provisional, not as a specification.
Samsung’s current-generation material shows why the exact variant matters, but cannot answer the S27 Ultra question:

Official technical documents can identify processors for already defined models: for example, an Android 16 Fall Security Target hosted by the Common Criteria Portal lists earlier Galaxy devices and chipset/model families, including the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy in the S25 Ultra. That document is not evidence of the S27 Ultra’s processor. Common Criteria Portal document
Verify the chip before buying
- Ask the seller for the complete model number, not just “Galaxy S27 Ultra.”
- Check that number against Samsung’s official specification for the exact model and sales market when that information is published.
- If possible, inspect the handset’s About Phone screen and confirm the processor with CPU-Z.
- Treat listings, country-based assumptions, and reports about possible regional allocations as unconfirmed until Samsung publishes the model-specific details.
Do not assume the South Korean version will use Exynos or that other markets will use Snapdragon. The available reports disagree, and Samsung has not confirmed an S27 Ultra allocation.

Why the full model number matters
A product name alone may not identify the processor in every regional variant. Samsung’s S26 materials explicitly note that application-processor type may vary by device and market; its Exynos showcase also warns that availability can vary by country and carrier. Those statements establish the need to check a specific model, not what the S27 Ultra will ship with.
After the S27 Ultra is officially specified, use the combination of the displayed processor and complete model number to confirm your unit. If you are comparing variants for performance, efficiency, or heat, look for direct testing of those exact models: a chipset brand name by itself does not establish which one performs better.
