The Nintendo destination at Yonge and Dundas is a permanent Nintendo space inside EB Games’ flagship store at 267 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario M5B 2H1. Its regular hours are 10:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Sunday. Because holidays, launches and retailer changes can override that schedule, check the EB Games listing and call 416-866-8368 before travelling. Use the EB Games locator for the exact product and store, then phone the team to confirm that the particular item is physically available and ask whether holds, reservations or purchase limits apply.

Toronto Nintendo Store details at a glance

This is not a separate street-front Nintendo shop. It is Nintendo’s first North American store-within-a-store, located inside the EB Games flagship at Yonge Street. The approximately 1,500-square-foot space opened to the public at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Detail What to use
Location EB Games flagship, 267 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario M5B 2H1
Locator address label The EB Games locator may display the store as 267–269 Yonge Street
Phone 416-866-8368
Regular Monday–Saturday hours 10:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.
Regular Sunday hours 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Space features Nintendo Switch 2 hardware and software, playable demo systems, themed displays, merchandise and photo opportunities

The hours in the table are the normal schedule published by EB Games, not a guarantee for every date. Holiday hours, a midnight or special launch, a mall or retailer decision, or an event schedule can change opening and closing times.

How to verify whether it is open today

Start with the official store listing

Open the EB Games store locator or the Toronto store page and search for the Yonge Street location. Confirm that the result shows the 267–269 Yonge Street address and the phone number 416-866-8368. The listing is the best place to check the regular weekly schedule and any notice that the retailer has added for a particular day.

#1 Best Overall
Nintendo Switch 2 System
  • The next evolution of Nintendo Switch
  • One system, three play modes: TV, Tabletop, and Handheld
  • Larger, vivid, 7.9” LCD touch screen with support for HDR and up to 120 fps
  • Dock that supports 4K when connected to a compatible TV*
  • GameChat** lets you voice chat, share your game screen, and connect via video chat as you play

Call before making a special trip

Phone the store when your visit depends on a precise opening time, a launch allocation or an event. Ask three direct questions:

  • “Are you open today, and are you operating the regular hours?”
  • “Is the Nintendo space open during those hours, or is a special event changing access?”
  • “Is the item or session I want available today?”

Calling is especially important on public holidays, the day of a major Nintendo release, during a limited promotion, or when you are travelling from outside Toronto. A posted schedule can be correct for ordinary trading and still be superseded by a one-day change.

Allow for the store-within-a-store format

Because the Nintendo area is inside EB Games, entry follows the retailer’s operating hours and any in-store crowd or event controls. A Nintendo display, demo station or giveaway may have its own operating window even when the main store is open. If you are visiting for a demonstration or promotion, ask whether that activity starts later, ends earlier or has a queue.

How to find Nintendo Switch 2 stock before leaving home

Online availability is a useful first check, but it is not a promise that a unit will still be on the shelf when you arrive. Use the retailer’s product and store tools, then verify the exact stock with the store.

  1. Open the EB Games product page or store locator.
  2. Select the Toronto location labelled 267–269 Yonge Street.
  3. Search for the exact product, such as “Nintendo Switch 2 system,” a named Switch 2 game or a particular Nintendo merchandise item.
  4. Read the availability label shown for that store. Note whether it says available, limited, preorder, pickup or another status.
  5. Call 416-866-8368 and give the staff member the exact product name, edition and, if shown, the SKU.
  6. Ask the staff member to confirm that the item is physically in the Toronto store, rather than only in a warehouse or available for a future shipment.
  7. Ask whether the unit is reserved, preorder-only, subject to a one-per-customer limit or eligible for a hold. Confirm the hold-expiry time if a hold is offered.

Why the web badge can change

Retail inventory moves when online orders are collected, reservations are released, returns are processed or another customer buys the last unit. Nintendo’s retail-offer information describes products as available through participating retailers and repeatedly uses “while supplies last” language. It does not publish a guaranteed live unit count for this Toronto space. Treat an availability badge as a prompt to call, not as a reservation.

Rank #2
Nintendo Switch with Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy-Con - Handheld Gaming Console
  • 6.2” LCD screen
  • Three play modes: TV, tabletop, and handheld
  • Local co-op, online, and local wireless multiplayer
  • Detachable Joy-Con controllers
  • Nintendo Switch is the home of Mario & friends

What to ask about a specific console

“Nintendo Switch 2” can refer to a standalone system, a bundle or a particular colour or edition. Read the full product name back to the store. Confirm whether the box is new and sealed, whether the item is a preorder allocation, and whether any bundle includes the game or accessory you expect. If the store cannot hold it, ask when the next stock check is likely and whether staff can tell you when a delivery has been processed.

Products and displays you may find

The space is designed around Switch 2 hardware and software, playable demos, Nintendo-themed displays, merchandise and photo opportunities. Nintendo Canada’s retail-offers page also lists several products and offers through participating retailers. Those listings describe the wider participating-retailer program, not a guaranteed Toronto assortment.

Product or offer listed by Nintendo Canada What to verify with EB Games Toronto
Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle Whether the bundle is in stock, and whether the Toronto store has the current edition
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Bundle Whether the bundle is stocked locally or only listed for participating retailers generally
Talking Flower interactive toy Exact model, quantity and whether it is a merchandise shipment or preorder item
Nintendo eShop cards Denominations available and any purchase limit
Nintendo Switch + Nintendo Switch Sports + Leg Strap Bundle Whether the bundle is available even if a Switch 2 product is not
Metroid Prime 1–3: A Visual Retrospective hardcover book Whether the Toronto store received copies and whether they are still available

Seeing a product on a national retail page does not establish that the Yonge Street location has it. Confirm the local listing and the physical item by phone.

Understand promotions before you visit

Promotions can have three separate conditions: a preorder or purchase requirement, a participating-retailer restriction and a finite supply. Check all three before assuming an offer applies at Toronto.

Example: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time preorder offer

A current Canadian promotion offers a holographic slipcover with a preorder for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo Switch 2 at EB Games. The stated end date is November 4, 2026, and the offer is valid while supplies last. That means the date is a latest advertised date, not a guarantee that slipcovers remain on November 4. Ask whether the Toronto store is participating, whether the preorder is registered correctly and whether the bonus is still available.

  • The battery life will depend on the games you play. For instance, the battery will last approximately 5.5 hours for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (games sold separately)
  • Model number HAC 001( 01)

Check the terms in this order

  1. Confirm the item and edition named in the offer.
  2. Check whether it requires a preorder, a full purchase or another action.
  3. Check the participating-retailer and geographic conditions.
  4. Note the stated expiry date and the “while supplies last” limitation.
  5. Call the store to confirm local availability before travelling.

How to track demos, events and local announcements

Use Nintendo Canada’s retail-offers page

The retail-offers page is where Nintendo lists participating-retailer activities, products and some limited promotions. Read the complete notice, not only its headline. Look for the date, local time, retailer list, location restrictions, registration instructions and supply limits.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Check the Nintendo Canada “What’s new” feed

Nintendo’s news feed carries event and seasonal announcements that may not appear in the store’s ordinary hours listing. A post can identify a Canadian activity while limiting participation to selected stores or a particular time window. Save the announcement details or take a screenshot so you can show the relevant date and terms if needed.

Check the EB Games Toronto page as the final local source

The retailer page supplies the location’s contact details and regular schedule. It may also carry a local notice, but a national Nintendo post and a local retailer page can be updated at different times. When they differ, call the store and ask which schedule applies to the activity you want.

Interpret demo announcements carefully

Nintendo advertises in-store Switch 2 demos at selected EB Games, Walmart and Best Buy locations and directs readers to contact the local retailer for details. “Selected locations” does not mean every Toronto session is running every day. A demo listing may identify a participating store without guaranteeing that every game, station or session is operating when you arrive. Ask whether the demo is running on your intended date, whether there is a queue and whether the station is limited to a certain age or session length.

Example: Lunar New Year retail activity

Nintendo’s Lunar New Year announcement scheduled Canadian retail activities for February 14–15 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. local time and named participating Ontario stores. The example shows why event hours should be read separately from the store’s normal hours: the retailer could be open before 11:30 a.m. or after 3:30 p.m., while the activity itself is limited to that four-hour window. Confirm that the Toronto location is on the participation list for the specific year and announcement you are reading.

Ticketed Nintendo experiences: registration and entry rules

A ticketed experience is different from an ordinary demo or an open retail display. The Toronto event FAQ states that you must register with a Nintendo Account and monitor the email associated with that account, including spam and promotions folders.

How selection works

  • Join the event registration or waitlist using a Nintendo Account.
  • Wait for the selection email; a waitlist is first-come, first-served.
  • If selected, use the email instructions to claim the offer within 36 hours.
  • Bring or be ready to present the required ticket confirmation at the event.

The 36-hour period starts when the selection email is sent. Missing that deadline can forfeit the offer even if you originally joined the waitlist.

Do not rely on a walk-up visit

Walk-up tickets are not available for these ticketed experiences. Do not travel to the venue expecting staff to issue a ticket at the door. If you did not receive and claim a valid ticket, contact the organizer through the instructions in the event notice rather than assuming the regular store can admit you.

Children and tickets

Children aged seven and older need a ticket. Children six and under may attend with a ticketed parent or guardian. Confirm the current event notice for any additional adult, child or identification requirements, because the age rule does not replace the need for the accompanying adult’s ticket.

Common problems and how to fix them

The locator says “available,” but staff cannot find the item

Read the full product name and SKU to the employee. The badge may refer to another edition, a reserved unit or inventory that has not yet been shelved. Ask whether the item is held for another customer or awaiting processing. If it is unavailable, ask whether the store can notify you when the next shipment is received.

Nintendo Switch – Neon Red and Neon Blue Joy-Con (Renewed)
  • One player can use a Joy-Con in each hand
  • Two players can each take one
  • Multiple Joy-Con can be employed by numerous people for a variety of gameplay options (additional Joy-Con sold separately)
  • Slip a set of Joy-Con into a Joy-Con grip accessory, mirroring a more traditional controller. Or, select an optional Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.

The product is listed nationally but not in Toronto

National Nintendo listings cover participating retailers and do not establish store-level inventory. Use the Toronto store selector, then call. If the location does not carry the item, ask whether another nearby participating store is listed by the retailer.

The event post and store hours do not match

Separate the activity window from the retailer’s trading hours. The event may begin later, end earlier or require a queue. Call 416-866-8368 and quote the event date and time so staff can confirm the local arrangement.

You received a selection email but cannot find it

Search the Nintendo Account email inbox, spam folder and promotions folder for the event name. Check the timestamp because the 36-hour claim period is time-sensitive. If the deadline has passed, the offer may no longer be claimable.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

You plan to bring a child without a ticket

Apply the age rule before travelling: children seven and older need tickets; children six and under may attend with a ticketed parent or guardian. If your party does not meet the stated ticket conditions, do not rely on a door decision to resolve it.

Visit-day checklist

  • Save the address: 267 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario M5B 2H1.
  • Recognize that the locator may show 267–269 Yonge Street.
  • Check the day’s hours rather than relying only on the regular schedule.
  • Call 416-866-8368 for holiday, launch or event confirmation.
  • Write down the exact product name, edition and SKU before calling about stock.
  • Ask whether the item is physically present, reserved, preorder-only or limited per customer.
  • For promotions, verify the expiry date, participating retailer and remaining supply.
  • For demos, confirm the session time, game and queue arrangements.
  • For ticketed events, carry the confirmation and ensure every attendee meets the ticket rule.

What to say when you call

A concise call prevents most avoidable trips. Give the employee the date and purpose first: “I’m planning to visit the Nintendo space at the Yonge Street EB Games today.” Then ask the specific question: “Can you confirm today’s hours?” or “Could you check whether the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle, SKU [read the number], is physically available?” Finish by asking about limits, holds, preorder status or the event’s entry procedure. Staff can verify the local situation; an online label alone cannot reserve a product or create a ticket.

Why the Toronto location is worth checking in person

The store-within-a-store format combines a retail counter with Nintendo-focused presentation. The announced features include playable demo systems, themed displays, merchandise and photo opportunities, alongside Switch 2 hardware and software. Those elements make the visit different from checking an online catalogue, but they also mean that a particular demo station, display or promotion can have its own schedule and supply. Plan around the activity you actually want rather than assuming every Nintendo feature is operating continuously.

For a reliable visit, use a two-source check: the EB Games listing for the address and regular hours, and Nintendo Canada’s retail or news notice for the event or promotion. Then make the final phone call for same-day stock, access and local conditions. This approach distinguishes what is scheduled nationally from what is available at 267 Yonge Street at the moment you arrive.
