To find yours, identify the tablet’s exact model and variant, check that entry in Xiaomi’s official Security Center, and then confirm what the tablet’s own updater offers. Check Android-version plans and security support separately: one does not establish the other.
1. Identify the tablet’s exact model and variant
On the tablet, open Settings and look for About tablet (the wording or location can vary by software version). Record the full model name and, if shown, its model number and whether it is Wi-Fi or cellular. A broad name such as “Redmi Pad” may cover distinct variants, so do not use another similarly named tablet’s support entry as a substitute.

2. Find Xiaomi’s model-specific support information
Open Xiaomi Security Center’s support information for smartphones and tablets. Xiaomi says the page provides product software-support information for some products and links to an end-of-life (EOL) list. Search for the exact model you recorded and check that the listed device matches your tablet.
Read the Android-version information and the security-update EOL information as separate fields. The Android entry describes shipped or planned major OS versions; the security EOL entry concerns the end of security support. Neither field tells you which Android version or patch is currently installed on your individual tablet.

3. Understand what the dates and policy mean
Security support is not one fixed term for every tablet
Xiaomi’s general policy says it typically maintains security updates for at least two years after a model’s first shipment. Xiaomi says some models may receive support for three years or longer, depending on actual conditions. These are general policy statements, not a guaranteed duration or end date for every tablet. Use the exact model’s listing for its published support information.
Xiaomi describes security updates as including security patches, vulnerability fixes and other security improvements. Its Security Center also cautions that patch delivery timing may vary by region and model, and that some device-specific chipset patches may not appear in a particular month’s package.

EOL means routine maintenance has ended
Xiaomi says it no longer maintains software or firmware updates, including security updates, for products on its EOL list. It notes that a necessary fix could still be provided for a very serious vulnerability; treat that as an exception, not an ongoing update commitment.
Special commitments apply only to eligible devices
Some Xiaomi devices on the Android Enterprise Recommended list have separate commitments: regular security patches within 90 days, security updates for three years from initial shipment, and at least one major Android OS update for enrolled devices. These commitments apply only to models included on that list and in its stated enrollment context; they should not be assumed for every Xiaomi or Redmi tablet.

4. Check what has actually reached your tablet
Use the system updater on the tablet to check whether an update is currently offered. Xiaomi says the updates a device has actually received are the governing situation, and that delivery can differ by region and model. A support-page entry is useful for understanding the plan, but it does not prove that a particular regional unit has already received a patch.
Xiaomi’s HyperOS rollout information also says timing varies by model and schedules may be adjusted; its stated scope is global versions outside mainland China. Treat rollout timing as a schedule, not confirmation of installation on your tablet.

5. Recheck before relying on an old support date
Xiaomi says its policies and device entries may change and are reviewed regularly. Check the official listing again when making a purchase or deciding how long to keep using a tablet, and note the date you checked it. If you are comparing two tablets, compare the exact regional variants, listed future Android versions, security EOL dates, any patch-timing commitment, and whether either appears on Xiaomi’s Android Enterprise Recommended list. Keep the OS-upgrade comparison separate from security support.

Xiaomi’s Security Center includes a Redmi Pad 2 entry with shipped and future OS-version information and a security-update EOL field. Use it as an example of the kind of model-specific information to look for, not as a date or promise that applies to other Redmi Pad models, variants, or regions. Check the current entry and your tablet’s updater for the device in hand.
