Connect each device to a separate output on a power bank that explicitly supports simultaneous charging. Before you plug in, check the bank’s combined output and any port-pairing rules: power may be shared, so the devices may charge more slowly than they would one at a time. Charging the power bank itself while it powers other devices is a separate feature called pass-through charging.
Check that the power bank supports two-device charging
Find the manual or product specifications for your exact model and look for confirmation that two outputs can be used at the same time. Two sockets on the case do not, by themselves, guarantee that both can supply power simultaneously.

Also check the stated output when multiple ports are in use. A port’s maximum output when used alone may not be available to both devices together.
Connect the devices and choose compatible ports
- Check the phones or other devices’ charging inputs and the cables you plan to use.
- Use two separate outputs on the power bank, following the manufacturer’s instructions for the port combination.
- Connect each device and confirm that both show they are charging. If one charges slowly or stops when you connect the other, consult the manual’s simultaneous-use guidance and try its recommended port pairing.
Port assignment is model-specific. For Schneider’s Mobile Power Pack M5BK and M10BK, the manufacturer says the two USB-A ports share a combined 2.4 A. Its guidance recommends connecting a 2.4 A device to the 5 V/1 A port and a 1 A device to the 5 V/2.4 A port when charging both. What simultaneous output limits mean
When two devices are connected, the bank may divide its available power between them. For example, Belkin says its BU054 shares a total of 20 W across multiple connected devices; for one device, it lists up to 35 W over USB-C or 22.5 W over USB-A. These are specifications for that model, not a general rule for power banks. Belkin explains its multi-device charging limits.

Charging the power bank while it charges devices
If you mean plugging the power bank into a wall supply while it charges your phone and another device, check explicitly for pass-through support. Simultaneous device outputs do not establish that the bank can charge itself and power devices at the same time. Support may also depend on how the bank is being recharged: Anker says its 733 supports pass-through from AC input, but not while being recharged through USB-C. Check Anker’s 733 FAQ.
What to verify before relying on the setup
- Two outputs are documented to work simultaneously.
- The combined output and any limits for the specific port combination are clear.
- Both outputs and cables are compatible with the devices’ charging inputs.
- If you want to recharge the bank while powering devices, the manual confirms pass-through support for the input mode you will use.
Exact charging speed and time depend on the power bank, both devices and their cables. Without those model details, there is no universal rate or duration to promise.
