Change it in Logitech Gaming Software
Some older Logitech gaming mice use Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) rather than G HUB. Open the mouse’s pointer settings and change Report Rate. The exact choices depend on the model and mode. For the G PRO, Logitech documents report-rate settings in both Automatic Game Detection and On-Board Memory modes; customizations in On-Board Memory mode are written directly to the mouse. See Logitech’s G PRO instructions.

Available rates depend on the mouse
These Logitech examples show why you should use the options available for your specific device rather than assume every mouse supports the same rates:
| Mouse or software | Documented report-rate options | Mode or guidance |
|---|---|---|
| G HUB-supported mouse | Values shown for that device; Logitech’s general instructions do not give a universal range. | Set the rate in G HUB’s Performance tab. Logitech support. |
| G502 | 125–1000 reports per second. | Logitech recommends 500 for most PCs in its G502 documentation. Logitech support. |
| G PRO | 125–1000 reports per second. | LGS supports Automatic Game Detection and On-Board Memory modes; On-Board Memory customizations are saved to the mouse. Logitech support. |
| G602 | 125–500 reports per second. | Documented for LGS and On-Board Memory. Logitech support. |
| G305/G304 | Performance mode: 125, 250, 500, or 1000 Hz. Endurance mode: fixed at 125 Hz. | The available rate depends on the power mode. Logitech support. |
Polling rate is different from DPI
Polling rate describes how often the mouse sends position updates to the computer. Logitech’s G502 documentation explains: “The Report Rate controls how often your mouse updates its position to the computer.” DPI, by contrast, is a separate pointer-sensitivity setting; changing it is not required to change the report rate. Logitech G502 support.

- Two years of battery life practically eliminates the need to replace batteries. ** The On/Off switch helps conserve power, smart sleep mode extends battery life and an indicator light eliminates surprises. ** Battery life may vary based on user and computing conditions.
- The tiny Logitech Unifying receiver stays in your laptop. There’s no need to unplug it when you move around, so there’s less worry of it being lost. And you can easily add compatible wireless mice and keyboards to the same wireless receiver.
Choose a rate that works well on your setup
A higher rate means more frequent position updates, but it is not automatically better for every computer or game. Logitech says some users may experience FPS drops above 1 kHz and suggests trying a lower report rate if that happens. Compare rates in the same game and conditions, and keep the setting that works best for you. Logitech support on FPS drops.

Why a polling-rate test may show a different value
Browser-based polling-rate tests are not conclusive. Logitech notes that browsers may not process high rates correctly and that readings can fluctuate, particularly when a mouse varies its rate dynamically. If you need to check a maximum rate, Logitech names MouseTester as a standalone option; the manufacturer’s note does not establish independent accuracy guarantees for it. For ordinary use, judge the setting by how the mouse and game behave. Logitech support on polling-rate tests.
