What you need
- An over-the-air antenna.
- A coaxial cable to connect the antenna to the TV. Insignia’s NS-24D510NA15 user guide says the cable is not provided.
Connect the antenna and select TV
- Turn off and unplug the TV before connecting equipment.
- Connect one end of the coaxial cable to the antenna and the other end to the ANT/CABLE IN jack on the back of the TV.
- Plug in and turn on the TV.
- Press INPUT, highlight TV, then press ENTER.
Scan for available channels
If you cannot tune to channels you know are available, run the TV’s automatic channel search and choose Antenna as the signal source. Let the scan finish; the user guide says it may take several minutes. The scan creates the channel list, so if you stop it by pressing EXIT, run it again and allow it to complete.

Improve weak or missing reception
Check that the coaxial cable is secure at both ends and that the antenna is installed correctly. Then adjust the antenna’s position and scan again if needed. Insignia’s user guide notes, “If the signal level for a channel is weak, the picture may be distorted.” It suggests a highly directional outdoor antenna or an amplified set-top antenna as possible options when the signal is weak. Keep the coaxial cable separate from the power cord and other cables rather than bundling them together.
The guide does not promise a particular number of channels. What the TV receives depends on the signal available where the antenna is installed.
