How to change controller buttons
Use the following route in the game:
- Open Settings.
- Choose CONTROLS.
- Move to the CONTROLLER half of the screen. The same page also has a KEYBOARD half.
- Select the action whose binding you want to change.
- Press the controller button you want to assign to that action.
- Leave the menu after checking the displayed assignments. The new mapping is applied by the controls screen.

What happens when the button is already used

On the controller controls screen, choose DEFAULTS. The update notes state that this puts everything back. Use it when an experiment has produced an unfamiliar layout, when a second player has changed the bindings, or when you want to compare the original arrangement with a custom one.
Restoring defaults is separate from changing the planet-turn speed. Resetting bindings returns button assignments; it does not describe a separate speed calibration.
Can you play the whole game with a controller?
Yes. The 1.0.13 update says that you can plug in a controller and play the whole game with it, every screen included. The 1.0.15 notes repeat that controller play covers every screen. This is broader than support for movement alone: the game-side documentation includes menus and other screens, not only the in-world view.

If rotation feels too fast, lower the value; if broad turns take too long, raise it. The published notes identify what the setting controls but do not provide a numeric scale, recommended value, or a list of presets. Set it by feel, then use a small movement on the left stick to check the result. The right stick remains the documented option for finer turns.

Planet rotation is still too sensitive after remapping
Remapping changes which button or stick performs an action. PLANET TURN SPEED controls how quickly the stick turns the planet. Adjust that setting independently and use the right stick for finer turns.
Flashing remains in an effect you expected to change
The documented Reduce Flashing behavior names aircraft strobes, crane lights, tower lights, and the Maw’s mouth. It does not promise that every visual effect is steadied. Check the option state and test one of those named elements before treating another animation as a failure.
The subtitles control cannot be found
The feature is listed and the opening film is documented as following it, but no exact menu path is published. Check the Settings screens in your build and verify the version.
