What the right stick does in Screamer
Milestone’s June 9, 2025 gameplay reveal says the default Twin Stick scheme uses the left analog stick to steer and the right one to drift. In a later gameplay introduction published October 27, 2025, Milestone describes steering and drifting as independent actions that can be combined.

So if your goal is to stop drifting with the right stick, you are looking to change the drift assignment—not right-stick steering.

How to change the right-stick action
The PlayStation Store listing for Screamer confirms advanced controller remapping. Open the game’s control settings and inspect the remapping options for the right-stick action. Look for a way to reassign the drift action to another input or, if offered, leave it unassigned.

The official sources do not document the precise PS5 menu sequence, the available assignments, or whether the action can be left unassigned. They therefore do not confirm that you can fully turn it off. Avoid relying on a specific menu label or button sequence unless it appears in your current game menus.
Remapping is different from lowering sensitivity
The PlayStation Store also lists adjustable horizontal and vertical sensitivity for each stick the game uses. Sensitivity changes how a stick responds; it is not evidence that the game can disable the stick or its assigned action. For a control you do not want to use, check remapping rather than treating a sensitivity adjustment as an off switch.

If you meant steering itself
Steering is assigned to the left stick in the Twin Stick scheme described by Milestone. If the car seems to steer when you move the right stick, check the current control assignments in-game: remapping may have changed the default layout. Milestone’s official Screamer page provides general game information, but the official pages cited here do not give a step-by-step PS5 control-settings guide.
