Capture the results page, not performance data
A PDF of a search engine results page (SERP) preserves how a particular Google results page appeared in a browser. It can show visible listings and other page elements, including content below the initial screen if you use a full-page capture.

For site performance evidence—such as queries, clicks, impressions, click-through rate, or comparisons by date and country—use Google Search Console. How to capture a Google SERP and export it as a PDF
1. Decide what the capture represents
Choose the query and the market and device context relevant to the client report. Search results can vary, so write down the query, capture date, and any context that matters to interpreting the page. Avoid describing the capture as a ranking that every searcher sees. 2. Open the intended Google results page
Run the query and confirm that the page on screen is the one you intend to document. If the report needs results below the visible browser area, use a full-page capture rather than saving only the current screen.
3. Capture the full page and export it
One browser-based option is GoFullPage. Its Chrome Web Store listing describes a capture process that scrolls through visible portions of the page and assembles them, and lists PDF export with configurable paper sizes. - With the intended Google SERP open, start a full-page capture.
- Wait for the capture process to finish, then choose PDF export and the page size suited to your report.
- Open the exported PDF and inspect every page for cut-off content, awkward page breaks, or missing results before sharing it.
4. Label the PDF for the client
Use a filename or caption that identifies the query and capture date, and include relevant market or device context when known. That makes the artifact easier to interpret later and avoids implying that one captured page establishes a permanent position.

Choose a capture method based on the deliverable
Browser tools differ in what they preserve. Compare the scope of capture, PDF layout controls, and whether the resulting text can be selected or searched.

Check Google’s screenshot-use guidance
Google’s Search screenshot guidance says permission is not needed for print use in educational or instructional materials. It also identifies advertisements, business cards or other promotional materials, and merchandise as print uses it does not permit. The guidance does not expressly settle every client-report scenario, so do not assume it grants blanket permission for commercial or promotional use. When to use URL Inspection instead
If the client question is how their own page rendered to Google’s inspection crawler, use URL Inspection for the verified property and run a live test.
