Use the visible-area or selected-area option instead when you do not need the whole page.
Capture and save a full webpage in FireShot

Open the webpage in a browser where FireShot is installed. If you cannot see the FireShot button, pin or reveal the extension in the browser toolbar; FireShot’s onboarding page describes pinning it.

Start FireShot from its toolbar button, the page’s right-click menu, or the

Choose Capture entire page (the guide also calls this “Capture entire Page and…”). This captures content below the visible browser area as well as what is currently on screen.

When FireShot opens the captured result or editor, choose Save or the corresponding save/export action. Select an image format offered by your installed version, choose the prompted or configured folder, and save.

Choose the right capture scope and image format
Entire page, visible area, or selected area

Visible area: Use this when the image should show only the portion currently visible in the browser.

Selected area: Use this when you want to capture a particular region.
FireShot’s guide lists Browser window capture separately. That captures the browser window and its contents; it is not the same as capturing the full length of a webpage.

Formats depend on the installed version
PNG and JPEG are named in FireShot’s current Chrome Web Store listing and onboarding page. The listing places GIF and BMP among Pro save formats, while the older Pro guide lists PNG, GIF, JPEG, BMP, and PDF, and describes adjusting JPEG compression quality. Check your own save dialog: format availability can vary by browser build and tier.
What to check if capture or saving does not work

The FireShot button is missing: Look for the extension in the browser’s extensions area and pin or reveal it in the toolbar.

The image stops at what was on screen: You may have chosen visible-area capture. Start another capture and choose the entire-page option.

You cannot find the format you expected: Check the installed version’s save dialog; formats and feature access are not necessarily the same across builds or tiers.

The menu or shortcut differs: Start FireShot from the toolbar or page context menu and follow the labels shown by your browser. Shortcuts and menu wording may vary.

When FireShot’s additional features may help
FireShot’s official materials describe optional Pro features such as editing and annotation, batch and all-tab capture, and scrolling-region capture. These can matter if you need more than one full-page image, but check the capabilities in your installed extension before relying on a specific feature.
