Sign in to the site normally in Chrome, open the page you want in that same tab, then use DevTools’ screenshot command. Choose Capture a full size screenshot for the whole document, including content below the fold, or Capture screenshot for the visible view. The screenshot shows what the authenticated tab renders; you do not need to export or edit login cookies.
Capture the logged-in page in Chrome DevTools
- Sign in normally. Use the website’s login flow in Chrome. Stay in that tab, navigate to the exact page and state you want to capture, and wait for its content to load. Websites commonly use cookies to manage sessions; Chrome DevTools displays a session cookie’s expiry as “Session.” See Chrome’s cookie guide.
- Open DevTools and Device Mode. Open Chrome DevTools from the browser menu or with the usual keyboard shortcut, then select the device toolbar control to enter Device Mode.
- Choose the capture type. In Device Mode, open the More options menu and select Capture a full size screenshot or Capture screenshot, depending on what you need.
- Review the saved image. Confirm it shows the intended page and does not expose account details or other private information you did not mean to share.
Chrome documents the full-page command as a way to capture the whole page, including content that is not visible in the viewport. Menu wording can differ between Chrome releases; if you cannot find a command, check the current Device Mode instructions at Chrome for Developers.

Choose between full-page, viewport, and area capture

To make a crop, open the Command Menu with Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows or Linux, or Cmd+Shift+P on Mac. Type “screenshot,” select Capture area screenshot, then drag across the region. Chrome documents the undocked-window limitation in its Command Menu guide.

The Network panel has a separate Capture screenshots setting. When enabled, it records frames as the page loads after a reload; it is useful for examining loading behavior, not for taking the standard one-off screenshot of the page currently open. See the Network features reference.

Protect information in the screenshot
A screenshot records the content rendered in the authenticated page. Before sending or posting it, inspect the image for names, messages, billing details, account identifiers, or other confidential material. Follow the website owner’s and your organization’s rules for sharing that content.
If you are also troubleshooting with a HAR network export, Chrome’s sanitized export excludes sensitive request headers such as Cookie, Set-Cookie, and Authorization by default. Including sensitive data is a separate option in settings. A HAR is different from a screenshot; do not share one containing sensitive data unless it is necessary and the recipient is trusted. Troubleshooting
The screenshot shows a login page or interstitial
Check that the site is still signed in in the same tab and that the intended content has loaded before capturing. DevTools captures the page displayed in that tab; it does not independently authenticate to the site.

The capture is missing content below the fold
Use Capture a full size screenshot rather than Capture screenshot. The latter is for the visible viewport.

Capture area screenshot is unavailable or does not work
Open the Command Menu with Ctrl+Shift+P or Cmd+Shift+P, search for “screenshot,” and choose Capture area screenshot. Dock DevTools to the browser window; Chrome notes that area capture will not work when DevTools is undocked.
The page is blank or partly loaded
Wait for the target page and any content you need to show to finish rendering, then capture again. Make sure you have opened the intended page rather than a transient loading or sign-in state.
